Doomsday Fans

Yeah, and I guess you really believed Mike Hamilton when he said Dooley was his first choice.

I noticed you conveniently disregarded the 2nd part of my post . Why would Norm Chow choose to stay with Rick Neuheisel at UCLA when he could have left to work for Kiffin, with his super recruiters, with more talent and for more money and as you put it one of the top programs in the country ?

It's more than anything Dooley did to deserve this job.

I understand the bashing of Mike Hamilton. His job is to get these guys, and he's done a job that you aren't satisfied with. I hope that you're open to a change of heart if Dooley works out, but this is fair.

But the Dooley hate. . . what has he done since taking over at Tennessee that makes you dislike him? Isn't there something to be said for giving someone the benefit of the doubt until they say or do something worth taking it away?

Better QB ( IMO ) Better WR, Good RBs still... Hey, let's just wait 'til football season and then we'll see who's right!

I agree with everything except the QB thing. I don't see how a freshman or a jc transfer can be better than Crompton in the second half of the season.

I'd love for you to be right, dude. I just don't see it, at least not early in the season when we need to spring these upsets. It's possible for our offense to have surpassed last year's by November, although things would really have to fall right, but I don't know if they can do it in time to beat LSU and Georgia consecutively. Inexperience takes a while to wear off.

...over Sarkisian

Sarkisian said he wasn't interested, said he wanted to build something at UW, could very well be that he knows something pretty rough is looming on the horizon in regards to NCAA sanctions though, I don't know that to be fact but it's certainly possible.

What did Kiffin do to deserve the job last year?

Because some of us refuse to think our players will just give up.

I think we can win 7 games with the possibility to steal a couple more. And I'm basing this on the heart I hope our players will show.

Oh, so I guess everyone else is?

Kind of seems like it.

So UGA's players are giving up? USC's? Kentucky will be pushing themselves past the limit trying to beat us. They're all salivating. Just because we've had a rough couple of years doesn't mean teams don't still love it when they beat us. I haven't seen any urgency, and I definitely didn't see it last Saturday.

I thought you meant posters on here.

Of course I don't think the other teams are giving up or are gonna give us a break because we are down.

Last Saturday was a scrimmage. They aren't suppose to lay it all on the line. Not worth risking the injury.

You're right. They aren't suppose to lay it all on the line at Vandy, Syracuse, and San Jose State.

Yeah, just like Cutcliffe "rejected" Tennessee and Bruce Pearl "rejected" Memphis.

Yeah, I'm confused as to where he is going with that as well.

Alabama could have went back to the athletic center and had burgers after their game ended in a tie. Go back, no injuries. But they finished. They went back out there and competed. They risked injury, but gained something else, the knowledge of what it is to compete.

If Tennessee doesn't win AT LEAST 8 games, I will give away my freaking laptop.

Random... but with all of the grammar and spelling errors, I'm sure glad you guys haven't had my English teacher! You'd still have echos of her voice in your head reminding you to use correct grammar ..
