Coordinated the most prolific offense in college football history and was an NFL head coach. What has Dooley done that matches either of these?

Co-coordinated with Sarkisian and all that are in the know claim Sarkisian was the brains and did most of the play calling. When UW needed a Head Coach, which one of them did they go after ?

This

Plus he completely failed in the NFL.

Dooley took a team that had not been to a bowl in 7 seasons with very little talent and took them to a bowl. He did this with just two years of recruiting.

A barely above .500 season that can pretty much be attributed to his dad's defense.

Which was a 2 win improvement with a team with less talent than the year before. Dooley would have gone 4-8 with last year's team and may do that with this year's team.

And you know this how? If you give me one way to prove that I will stop arguing my case for Dooley.

I'll be glad to as soon as Dooley gives me a good reason. I'm not going to blindly support someone who has done nothing to deserve this job.

Him being coach of Tennessee is a prima facie good reason.

Can we at least wait to call for his head until after he's done something that earns our distaste?

Kiffin was hired at UT 5 days before Sarkisian was hired at UW. There's no way to know which one they preferred because Kiffin was already off the board.

UW officials plainly stated Sarkisian was the man they wanted before his hiring, his was the only call they made. Kiffin was never and would never have been in the picture.

Norm Chow could have left Neuheisel and UCLA to go work for Kiffin at USC with more talent and for more money, he chose to stay with Neuheisel and the Bruins, tells me alot right there.

It was enough to get him 2 of the top 10 jobs in college football.

You and I both know he didn't prove anything to deserve either of those positions.

MH gave Kiffin a huge chance here, as he has Dooley. Then he takes the job at USC after a plethora of no thank yous because of the situation that program is in

Luckily it seemed he was on track to rebuild the program. But we will never know. Now all we have now is to hope Dooley can do the same. In the meantime we can support The University, not necessarily the coach but atleast the players and the program.

Yeah, and I guess you really believed Mike Hamilton when he said Dooley was his first choice.

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - L
Florida - L
UAB - W
LSU - W (I honestly think we can! )
Georgia - W
Alabama - L
South Carolina - W
Memphis - W

OBVIOUS WINS: Memphis, Vanderbilt, Tennessee Martin

SHOULD WIN: Kentucky, UAB

DECENT CHANCE WIN: Ole Miss, Georgia, South Carolina

LUCK WIN: LSU

No, I don't know much about football, but I did have a nice bracket this year and correctly picked last years football record.

Then I would call you "lucky" :)

It's more than anything Dooley did to deserve this job.

So proving that you can get a winning season for a team that has had only one winning season since 2002 means nothing?

But, going 4-12 in his first season and getting fired 4 games into his second makes him an amazing candidate.

I'll be the first to admit, I was excited when Kiffin got here and was running his mouth. But knowing what I do now and the way he just run out on us, I prefer Dooley.

No, Hamilton definitely said that. I remember being initially shocked before it settled in what he was doing.

I watched the press conference and I don't remember him saying that. But I could have just forgot...

That's pretty messed up if he did.
