Dooley's postgame attitude

This Tennessee team is not very good and has a lot of problems to fix. I am surprised people would be upset about maybe one of the very last things they should be upset about. It blows my mind.

So he gets two bad calls in the final minute of the game that cost him the game. But you don't want him mad huh. At least I know he cares. An emotionless coach would've really pissed me off.

Was anyone else bothered by how CDD acted right after the loss? I know Dooley was just as upset as I was, but I'm allowed to show that kind of behavior in my home where I'm not influencing my players and representing UT on national TV. I just felt like he should have acted disappointed but respectful toward loser Les, but he threw his headset and stormed off the field. If the loss wasn't bad enough, I kinda felt our coach acted like a jerk.

Thoughts???

I wouldn't have cared if he punched les miles in the face actually...... I'm not really concerned unless he is clapping players as encouragement after they whiffed on a play....

I fail to see your point. How a coach handles himself on the sideline has zero baring on how successful a coach can or will be. Another example. Tony Dungy. It is okay to be upset, but at some point he has got to realize that he is representing an institution. Him not shaking Les Miles hand after the game was inappropriate. Period.

Boo hoo. Dooley shaking Miles's hand after that crock would have looked like forced sportsmanship. If you want to see that garbage go watch an AYSO game. The man just had the biggest win of his career snatched out from under him. I was more surprised he didn't eat the face off of an official before heading to the locker room.

How could anyone watch Dooley in the post game press conference and have anything negative to say about his attitude?

I LOVED WHAT HE DID. He knew he won the game and it was taken away.

Not bothered in the least! Wish he would have showed more than he did. It would have bothered me if he didn't show any emotions and didn't react! He's not Phil Fulmer thank the Lord!!:finger3:

i would rather see this emotion, like the game matters, than just clapping and running to the center of the field for a hand shake:rock:

So what reaction would you have wanted? Some of Phil's we'll get'em next time hand claps? Any one with am ounce of competitive fire on their body would react the same way. If you had any, you wouldn't question his reaction.

I would have clapped quite a bit, told the players we need to work like heck and then sloth over to Les and shake hands

See Urban Meyer. Shows no emotion. Very even keel yet very successful. It all comes with maturity. Derek Dooley is young. He'll get there in time.

Yeah Urby showed no emotion last night. Hell he looked like a deer caught in the headlights while bama rolled his little gators up. Maybe he was having another minor cardiac infarction! There are plenty of coaches who blow a gasket on the sidelines when things go against them. I tired of all these posters bashing everything Dooley does. No matter what he does someone on here is gonna whine. Take off your diaper and put on some big boys pants and get over the fact that Fulmer was fired. He is gone and will not be back. My God we sound like Clemson 20 years after Danny Ford was fired, they still have boosters wanting him to be the next coach.
( WHEW THAT FELT GOOD)

No way! He shows emotion and fire in his belly. I loved coach Fulmer but he would have just said aw shucks and blew a bubble with his gum. I like Coach Dooley alot! I am not sold on Wilcox but Dooley is going to be a good one

Are you crazy in the head I thought he acted just fine for a coach that just had a win jerked out from under him
at least during sideline interview he wasn't picking his nose or scratching his balls :finger3:

He did exactly what he should have done.... If I was a player on the team and my coach DIDN'T go off like that I would be really disappointed....

I'm just happy not to see the stupid clapping with a grimace after bone head plays.

I don't understand the obsession with after game protocol going back to last year.

Did he shake his hand long enough? Did he look him in the eye? blah, blah, blah

I'm not reading 7 pages of this, but if anyone had an issue with how he acted grow the eff up.

I thought he acted similar to how Kiffin would have. That doesn't bother me too much, it's just their similar aggressive mindset representing itself on the field. Personally, I prefer this over a coach who would seem accepting or apathetic towards a loss. Losing is unacceptable and that feeling of winning that we all shared for 27 seconds will be coming back

I have NO problem with the way CDD acted, especially throwing the headphones. Reminds me a bit of a coach that is both respected and hated in the SEC....nickname Weasle!
CDD, you throw the damn headset anytime you want to!!!!!!!
