Dooley's future at UT (merged)

I have been a huge supporter of Dools from day one. I bought in hook, line, and sinker. I drank the doolaid. However, after tonight, I'm done. That second half was pathetic offensively and defensively. Tennessee's coaches made zero adjustments at halftime. Then Tennessee's players gave up in the fourth quarter. To keep your job, you cannot have this kind of hype for a game and then lay an egg like this.

I am sure I will get bashed for this observation and opinion but I could care less at this point. Tennessee is not a second tier school; yet, they have a second tier staff. The job is better than it was three years ago. Time to pony up and get our team and our players the real deal because this bull**** isn't cutting it in the SEC.

Dooley just managed to get his ass kicked by the worst Florida team in 20+ years, you should probably save your bull****

Cool dude. The next coach will have plenty of weapons. By the way, Joe Morgan is a POS, most know this. Take notes

Welcome to reality, Dooley supporters. You can't support a coach when it does a disservice to your university and your players. That's not loyalty - it's blindness. He's done...we'll just have to wait it out now.

His teams display a single shared trait - no mental toughness and a propensity to fold when the pressure is on. Well, Dooley, it's time to fold.

Can we hire ULM's coach?

Would be nice to have a coach that can actually coach his players up and do very well against far superior programs in terms of talent/depth/budget.

Obviously a joke, but so is Dooley.

Whatever dude. We are on the same side.

I know but can you not see that this team or any of the previous three teams were just not well coached? Yes they have been short on talent but it's easy to spot a well coached team and one that is not. We are no better now then we were two years ago.

Bro, learn college football. Fulmer was behind the times and got lazy. Kiffin left this program after one year. NEWS FLASH... THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE CUPBOARD. Actually there was. Walk ons, Freshman, and Sophmores.

There is some truth to this. However, if you want to attract top recruits, if you want to fill up that cupboard, you have to have a coach that young players want to play for. He has to be a good recruiter and he has to know how to win.

I will personally keep this thread going all season. I love UT but I can not stand Dooley. No matter if we win out win the SEC and play and win the National Championship(none of which will actually happen) I am tired of watching our team stink and just give up. So if the mods don't delete the thread, this new NegaVol will keep it going I will be back with stats to support my postion most of which have been pointed out already but there are others that know one has even brought up like top points in the redzone, oh and our special teams are god awful.

Bray quit on the team but that all is under Dooley's umbrella. I think we just need one great running back and we could be dominant with this team...maybe next year we still have one year left with this core!

After three years the team has the same mentality as the coach and their coach has never been a successful head coach at the college level. Dooley has put the pieces in place but it will take someone else to get us there.

I have never, and I mean NEVER once said "fire Dooley"!!! But I have to admit I'm finding it harder and harder not to go there! I'll stop just short of saying it now,but I will say with conviction "fire Chaney"!!! That was pathetic! We looked like we were completely out matched! No excuse!

Personally I'm ready for a new core. Bray has not done what it takes to be a great quarterback. He can sling it but he hasn't done the work to get better.

I am not in favor firing Dooley now. I just cannot see him continuing after this year. Neither would I want him to, at this point.

We need dough... Which we don't have anymore after being $4M in the Red after all the articles reporting so... We cannot afford to hire a high profile coach while paying the buyout of Dooley. Reminder, no one wanted this program after Kiffin left (actually Kiffin was not the first choice, no one wanted the program after Fulmer)... Who in their right mind would want to coach this team? Glad Dooley will be around next year...

If Dooley can't beat this Florida team than he's not ever going to beat them. It's time to let go of this garbage coaching staff.

This is a completely new staff and I think the new coaches are good ones. I say get rid of Chaney and Dooley and try to keep the remaining coaches if possible.

Bray sucked .. I still want to like Dooley but totally agree it is now apparent he can not motivate the team at halftime to continue the momentum.

Then hold an f'n bake sale! We need to get this sh!t fixed!

If everyone wants 6-6, 7-5 type years then i say keep Dooley. If this team makes it to 4-4 in conference it would be doing something....

The fail is heavy in this thread. UT lost to a team ranked higher yet its time to replace the coach? Stay moronic VN.

I agree the OC and DC play calling were suspect. You don't put this one one Dooley.
