Dooley's Frustration with Rumors

Dooley has expressed some major frustrations with the rumor mill. Understandable... One day on this board is enough to cause ulcers, heart disease, etc. if you let all of it get to you. However, my one suggestion to Dooley, if he really wants to things to calm down....

Go out and WIN some football!

...but he can't until Sept. So, I guess it will not calm down for 9 months.

I actually support Dooley and think we need stability and organization in a time that our program is in shambles. HOWEVER, part of the rumor mill's prevalance is due to his refusal to frequently address the media or just address issues that arise on the program. I understand you cannot lend credibility to every rumor that rears it's ugly head, but the lack of communication to a battered fan base is part of the problem.

Hart and Dooley both should realize that the expectations the fans have are unrealistic and are amplified by the last 3-4 years of turmoil, but in order to counteract that, there must be better communication on the part of the university.

Dooley could care less what you drama queens think. He is charging ahead to improve the program and regardless of your wishes, he is doing it. He is getting another good recruiting class. He won't have to play with a majority of sophomores and freshmen next year. He will upgrade the coaching staff. Hart and Dooley are in it for the long haul to get the talent and depth needed. He gets at least 2 more years. You can carp all you want. It will do you no good except maybe you will feel better and get to be all emotional like a teen age girl. Get over it. You got him for at least 2 more years, and longer when we start winning again.

Saban, Miles, and Meyer are media train wrecks. Nobody seems to be debating their skills in having a press conference.

The Dooley haters are having a great day

He is their gift that keeps on giving.

CDD lacks maturity as a SEC head coach. When he was hired I had hopes he could be a quick learner with his pedigree. Still hoping it happens. Not expecting it to though.

I never seen a forum like this one when it comes to rumors. As soon as 1 dies 2 more pop up to take its place.

The problem with driving to California is that there is no way to avoid some unpleasant stretches. I hope he's right and the Vols are on the verge of great things. But the last two years were going to be rough regardless of who the coach was. UT simply did not have the roster to be competitive.

IMO, this past year would have been a minimum of 7 wins with Hunter and maybe better than that with Hunter and JJ. But "woulda's and coulda's" don't count. I'm not sure what you expected from a team with one legitimate offensive weapons for much of the year.

I'm surprised that you know what a keyboard is and how it functions. You got opposable thumbs as well?
