I have noticed that CP, Q, and AJ keep their dreadlocks covered during games. I wonder if Dooley has a no dreads policy? Does anyone know? Sounds like a good question for Heather Harrington to ask during the next presser....hahaha! I'm so pumped about the game Saturday, but I really wish our boys could show their dreads! Look what the long hair does for Troy Polamalu!! GO VOLS!!!!:eek:lol:

His policy has been talked about on a few of the Tennessee Sports Radio shows. The policy is that if your hair (dreads or otherwise) is long enough to cover your name on your jersey, it must be wrapped up. That's why CP rocks the beaver tail. This is Dooley's rule and may have been borrowed from his days with Saban.

I think it looks ridiculous, and screw the visibility of the name. Many colleges don't even display the name on the jerseys. He needs to make a halftime adjustment and just let it go.

I may be wrong. I don't pay attention to the length of hair that much, but do Eric Gordon's dreads not cover his name?

I guess you haven't watched the first 2 games yet, I won't spoil the second halves for you.

It looks neat and professional wrapped up, they should keep it that way. They are representing the University and themselves. Having pride in the way you look is a good thing.

Right. I don't think this is actually about it coverng the name. I gunk that's Dooley's cutoff for professionalism. I like it.

It has nothing to do with professionalism.

He doesn't want to get tackled by his hair.

You keep dreads wrapped so they dont get pulled out..

Dont know how much you have actually been around someone with dreads but they can get pulled out VERY easy.
