Dooley's DC hire will make or....

Your really overreacting I think. It's all hearsay. They have questions and concerns, which is definitely understandable, and haven't gotten a chance to talk with our coaches yet.

The fact technology is instantaneous doesn't mean people's feelings and opinions change instantaneously. I'm sure our "solid" commits feel the same way, they just haven't had a microphone shoved into their face or maybe responded a bit different in preference to keeping their feelings closer to the vest.

I think a lot of misinformation in recruiting is a result of people not understanding the dynamics people's personalities. JMO
Hearsay? They are all on record saying they are keeping their options open. That doesnt sound too solid to me.

recuits will listen. why put so much on a last image?

hmm...let's see..UT hires a DC that just got his @$$ blasted BIG Time...BUT..let's see..Florida just beat THE OS..both schools want me to be a DB...now...who gives me the best chance to make it to the NFL as a DB?

just shut up dude..you have no idea...a 17 year old is looking as his best and fastest chance..and when he sees the Orange Bowl score..and that that dude is coming to Tennessee?.... not a chance he is a VFL.

My question is WTF is Dooley waiting for?! We need an answer now...This has me worried that it's steele. We will lose recruits in a heartbeat if it's steele, after this performance.

I agree this performance would make it embarrassing for UT to hire Steele. They'd be better off with a no name right now.

...break him! Just as Dave Clawson broke Phillip Fulmer!

Highly disagree. Dooley had already made a great DC hire and it didn't make him at all because the offense struggled. A bad hire might break him, but a good hire isn't going to make anything unless accompanied by some run-blocking.

or a healthy Hunter and Bray all season.

I wasn't convinced last year either. I thought UT had to run... but I am now convinced that Hunter is just that good. Don't get me wrong. Development of a run game would be HUGE... but the way D's are challenged by Rogers on one side and Hunter on the other makes for a pretty potent O.

Lets hope KS doesn't get fired and we have to take him.We do tend to do unusual hires for what ever reason sometimes

not sure it will be the only thing that breaks him but maybe the straw that broke the camels back if defense also falls flat.

Slobberknocker, who the hell is that you're arguing with, and what in the world is he talking about? Lulz... Some people you just can't reach....What part of "wavering recruits" is so hard to understand?

lucky for us we are recruiting men and not girls. they won't judge a person by 1 game. what if you was judged by 1 bad day in your life. how would you look. if you remember Chavis looked bad in the orange bowl a time or 2, but seems like people want him back.

One game? This defense has been mediocre all year. This performance was just the icing on the cake.

and why is that? Is it scheme, talent, effort, etc? Just wondering what you would attribute it to

I attribute it to the fact that Clemson has 42 freshmen or redshirt freshmen out of 84 scholarship players. That's huge. And Dooley says WE'RE young...

His track record at Clemson reeks of mediocrity. The run defense has been bad the whole time he's been there. Sooner or later thats how you're judged. Maybe a excellent recruiter of talent but there is nothing supporting him as being some defensive guru.

He may be the best choice. Dooley doesn't have much time to take a guy that might do a good job. He needs someone that he knows will do a good job. Not sure Kevin Steele is that guy.

What are we, 3 days out from the resignation? Calm down.

I've ranted like a Nancye after last nights performance which was a little much but if people can't see how bad this would set us back I don't know what to say. I'm a DD supporter but would not be if he pushes through with getting Steele.

That shoot out offense isnt going to work. We need a more balance attack. We need a running game. The SEC has some good DBs.
