I'm a long view guy. It took us a decade to get into this mess. Dools should get at least half that long to right the ship. His is a method of dogged perseverence, it will suck in the short term. We'll all look back at this and laugh...

Particularly at James Franklin/Mayor Nagin.

Oh, and at VolBeef88.

IM IN :loco:

That UK loss hurt. Was first time I really questioned the staff's ability to actually coach. I just got done watching Malik Presser after the UK Game. He stated the mindset of the young guys going into the game was .. Its Kentucky. Just like some other posters on this board. Having all those young guys in key positions with that kind of mindset was disaster. Kentucky has had this game circled for 26 years and the kids didn't realize that. Hopefully this was a wake up call to all of them. But, this will only make them stronger and since we are now at the absolute bottom of the barrel. We can only go up from here! :fireworks:

GO VOLS!

I like you OE. You're good people.

But we just lost to Kentucky and not a good Kentucky team. One of the worse Kentucky teams of all time.

I just can't do it.

He fires Chaney and HH and gets a good OC and running back coach then maybe I'll revisit this thread and give my support.

Until then though, I'm on the fence.

whats worse is OE is from kentucky and knows what it is all about. can i get a COME ON MAN!!!!!!!!!

Dooley is doing things for this program there is no stat for, and things you can't put a number on. This will pay dividends in the future.

When a big time high school recruit is trying to decide where to play, 2 things matter.

1) what schools he likes
2) what schools his parents like.

Parents love Dooley, and they know they can send their son to a school where Dooley will keep him out of trouble and teach him good life lessons along the way.

So yes, I'm still a fan of Dooley and what he's doing here. The loss to Kentucky was just strike one to me, everything else there was a legitimate excuse for JMO.

I was on the fence when he was hired. I was on the fence before the season started. I was on the fence before this game. I am still on the fence... and REFUSE to take a side until this time next year. As opposed to everyone declaring him to be a sure success and those declaring him a failure... I simply said that he inherited such a mess that his odds of success were something less than 50%.

I don't like it. Not at all. UT did lose to a bad UK team... with a bad UT team. It seems that just about everything that can go against a guy personnel wise has gone against Dooley. But sometimes that happens to good guys... if he doesn't produce next year then he should go.

The 50/50 odds I would give him for surviving next year... fall significantly if the CORRECT changes are not made on O. I won't claim to know what those changes are though...

You are a Dool-Aid drinker

These guys deal in absolutes.

You either love him or hate him to them
