Dooley will not be the coach next season.

We fire Dooley right now, tell him he is gone regardless of record this year, and he goes 9-4, you're sending a message to any other coach saying "by year 3 you better go better than 9-4 in the best conference or you're fired"

Explain to me how I'm ignorant.

No, you are sending a message to any other coach that if you cant manage to be competitive, you wont be retained after 2 1/2 years. You keep pumping that sunshine and stay the course that Derrick Dooley is anything other than a damn loser and the sooner we get rid of him, the better for the program.

Solid. Informative. Educated post. Thank you for your contribution.

Hey these folks only hear what they wont to hear, you are not going to change them. Just like the liberals being supported by old time democrats, they are just walking off a cliff.............and they like it!

Barring winning out from here which is unlikely, I do think CDD will be let go this season. Not enough progress has been made and a new direction is needed. I will give him credit for hiring Jay Graham and our rushing offense is considerably better than last season. But his downfall was the defense and hiring a guy who runs a 3-4 was a big change that he couldn't risk on a make or break year. Also Tyler Bray has regressed some and wasn't playing well under pressure. But Derek is a smart guy and will be fine outside of Tennessee football. He just simply didn't win enough games here and doesn't appear close to competing for the SEC east.

"Damn loser"... I get it; he has lost many games, but namecalling is not productive; it is immature. Dooley may not be a great coach, but he is not a loser in life. Compare your salary to his.

Slow your roll.......who said anything about losing in life? He is, by definition, a loser when it comes to coaching. Call it whatever you want

At first i was excited about the hire, i really was....new face and ties to SEC history....but all the black eyes he's given us....
Lack of running game, lack of potential to sharpen the skills of probably the best QB in the SEC, shotty defense.....recruiting seems to be there, but that is about it.

Ive never seen a UT team that puts together only 8 mins of solid game play.....and thats being generous.

Sorry that I have hurt your feelings today.

Peoples are free to say what they think, but given where our program was when Dooley started with it, and where it is now, and where the rest of the SEC was when he started here, I don't think it's right to call Dooley a loser. I'm p.o.'d because the team is not playing up to its potential every play of every game...at all, so chalk me up in the p.o.'d column. I'm just not totally trashing the man like some folks.

Dooley is not the right person to get the job done, he needs to go. I don't think his players respect him, and even worse they do not fear him. Respect is good and all, but when your players fear you then you have power. They know you will say or do whatever it takes to get your players to do their job. The players only meeting should raise a red flag. The coaches are not getting it done, so some players decide they need to step in and motivate their teammates. Have you ever seen a team have a players only meeting when things are going well?

I can easily and quickly explain your ignorance. 9-4. Here is your sign!

It doesn't hurt my feelings. I just see so many people filled with hate and anger... and I want them to reflect on what they are saying.

Lol, I have no hate nor do I have any anger. DD maybe a fine human being, but he is a losing coach and will be gone by the end of next week.

I agree since I feel sure we are close to making a change I dont see any good in continuing the bashing. I made up my mine I would like a change. Three years with 0-5 SEC starting position is not acceptable. It would not be even at Vandy. I wish him well and enjoy the 5 mil severance. Maybe the next hire will be more thought out to try to avoid the quick buyouts.
