this is a vol board.if you want to talk about the guy you have a man lust for, please go to a usc board.you hear the name kitten and its fap fap fap.:whistling:
umm again you give him too much credit. He hasn't "endured" anything yet. He has had a full roster and underachieved at USC so far losing to teams with much less talent.
I wouldn't consider 10-2 for a team that had nothing to play for, besides pride, underachieving. They beat Southern Cal, Notre Dame, and Oregon on the road and beat UCLA 50-0. If that's underachieving, then Dooley is never going to be able to fulfill your expectations.
Who did they lose to? They were supposed to go undefeated with all that talent. Supposedly the most talented team in the nation. Same as this year.
If he goes 10-2 this year and loses to some cupcake will that be considered underachieving?
If he goes 10 and 2 with 40 scholarship players and plays a competitive schedule then I will admit he is a good coach. Right now he has yet to do anything remotely close to impressive on the field.
be careful,your ignorance is showing.
You are 100% correct. I must be ignorant to be wasting my time talking to someone who's head smells like their butt. I can't pull your head out for you bro cuz it's obviously jammed way up in there. Good look finding your way back to reality.
I'm done with this guy. Next please![]()
Hunter doesn't have "health issues". Just because someone recovers from surgery doesn't mean they have issues. All he has to do is play out the season with decent numbers and he's in.Bray and Hunter has to have a huge years to leave this year. Bray has "maturity issues" Hunter has "health issues". Imo only Rogers has proven himself to the NFL scouts. Bray and Hunter could get drafted this year, but unless they have big time stats they wont go very high.
So if they are all going pro this year then buckle up it's going to be a fun ride...
P.s. Rogers could come out right now and be a first rounder. He has proven that his body can last an entire year in the SEC.
OK, let's compare apples to apples shall we? My comments were directed at a 2nd year coach, not a first year coach. Saban went 12-2 his second year in the league. Dooley went 5-7. Saban's 2007 team was not loaded when he took over so he had a mess just like Dooley did. In fact, that team was so bad they lost to Lousiana Monroe. I'm not expecting Dooley to go 12-2 in his 2nd year, but I can't say 7 wins will suffice either. I personally think a good coach could get 9-10 wins out of this Tennessee team. Saban could get 11:rock:
i thought Shula was building a good team and the coaching change hurt them that year
I'm not taking up for him! I merely pointing out the fact that he's a good coach. He had a mess that Carroll left behind at USC including the Reggie Bush scandal. They had some pretty harsh penalties that he had to endure including being stripped of the 2004 title and not being eligible for post season play for 2 consecutive years. Yet he still recruited well and his team is now ranked #1 on ESPN and #3 on USA Today. Oh BTW- his team went 10-2 despite not being eligible for a conference championship or a bowl game. It's denial to say he didn't have something to do with that. Again, I don't like what he did, but his resume proves he can recruit and he can coach. Anyone who argues with that is just bitter and needs to face facts. Sorry but the truth hurts. And saying that doesn't make me disloyal, a Dooley hater, or a negavol- whatever that is. I call it like I see it. If you're fat, you're fat. If you're skinny, you're skinny. If you win, you get respect and rewards, and if you lose, you get the boot. That's life! :salute:
I think obsession with Dooley being let go, how many wins he needs to stay and such should be banned from the board. If you can't get behind the team and coach and BELIEVE we will be winners, you should go root for another ream. After the season, judge the man all you want. But we darn sure don't need the constant nega-mouthing before his product has even had the chance to be on the field. There will always be people who can't and won't recognize the UT was lucky to get anybody above a high school coach to even accept the job when CDD was hired. And he came into a program in shambles. Yet despite that recruited on a level that was a miracle given how low the program had fallen. Only now does he have most (not all) the pieces to at least compete. I assure you, there is no such a thing as magic. You want success? You have to work your rear off, cobble it back on and work it off again. And that's just get started. Once again, it took several years to all but kill this program. It will take several years to merely resuscitate it before you can even talk about recovery.
This is the first year we can even mention recovery and so many of you want to lambast the guy has made even that possible. If he wins the SECC and jumps to Georgia or somewhere else, why not? So many so-called fans at here don't even know how to appreciate him. You'd deserve it too. Stop the nega-mouthing. I really do hope the mods ban any more such threads on CDD being fired until the season is done.

I think you're a Bammer or Candy fan in disguise. Saban went 6 & 6 his first year at Bama, Frankiln, well anyone with a little fire about them could change Candy (didn't see much). Same ole Candy. Saban didn't walk into such a mess as CDD did, and Saban has more fertile recruiting grounds than CDD. CDD has done a remarkable job of getting us to where we are now in such a short period of time. Sorry Hman, my bad. I actually meant that for someone else.
