Dooley will beat Muschump

I'm looking forward to this matchup next season got a feeling we're going to punish Florida.

I do not have this feeling. I believe Florida has more talented play makers than Tennessee. This does not necessarily always translate into a win, but Tennessee will not punish Florida.

for Tennessee to win at the swamp next year they will have to play above their talent and have a complete and perfect game.... JMHO

They're still going to to have a lot of talent. I do feel better about our chances with Muschamp, than Meyer or Mullen.

Our schedule before the game will work in our favor.

UT was only down 7pts with 11mins to go this year when Matt Simms was the QB and our freshman were playing in their 3rd game. We'll be much better the next time we play UF.

I'm not making that claim until 2012. Although if our Oline holds long enough next year for Tyler we could light them up.

We lose ALL of Tyler's aerial weapons. JH was a great Frosh with great abilities on the fly route, but Baggett has a helluva off-season coaching job to do on all these talented athletes to turn them into actual receivers.

I don't want to jinx the karma by claiming we will now be punishing Florida just because they got our #1 choice last year.

Who has better WRs?

Who has better RBs?

Are the QBs even?

What about this young talented line of ours?

On defense

Who are we losing? C. Walker N. Reveiz (they aren't irreplaceable)

Young talent on D ( Jac Smith,Corey Miller, Teague, Gordon,Crump, Propst, Brewer)

Our secondary will be back with more experience.

Also we have some good players coming in ( Couch, Randolph, Coleman, Aj Johnson)

Get ready for some payback Swamp lizards.

This isn't 5 on 5 flag football, i don't think you are addressing the lack of depth we will still have next year. Florida is still loaded and none of us can really say for sure the impact Mus will have positive or negative.

I love your optimism and the shade or orange you are looking at the world through is great, but Florida D-line will be outstanding, and Brantley in the PRO system will be a far better QB than under Meyer. I will be screaming my lungs out for the Vols but... we need a perfect game to beat them.

They are still loaded with talent and we are still rebuilding (bottom line)

What exactly did I type in my post to make you think I'm looking through a shade of orange? Was UT not down by only 7pts with 11 minutes to go, with Matt Simms as QB in the 3rd game of the season, and quite a few starting freshman? Isn't Bray a better QB than Simms? Won't our freshman be a year older, stronger and more comfortable in the system? Those are just facts, not opinions.

Not trying to offend and yes those are all true... no lie, but there will more than one team playing. No one really knows what Muschamp can do as a head coach, maybe fall on his face, but Florida is a far better talented team than Tennessee and if you can't see that you are looking at this game through orange shades.

PS you agreed with the OP that we will punish Florida next year

Yeah that was with uf worse off in history. And they still put up 31 pts. Next year they will have a new defense with a prostyle offense that Brantley will excell in. We will still be depleted. Uf had a 10-2 team that went 7-5. They actually flip places with lsu this year. We were a 4-8 team that made it to 6-6 and a bowl game. We Don't need to get cocky. Wait until 2012. Winning in he swamp next year will be tougher since we think we are on the upturn. I am going to that game and I support my Vols but no way am I going to get cocky and start predicting wins. I say we definetly are a bowl team next year but we have made much ground. If we give up 31 pts at rocky top I say we at least give up that many in the swamp next year.

What makes you think we're a 4-8 team this year?

Don't you think our defense will be better next year than it was this September (especially in the secondary)?

[I agree, by the way, that they're still the better team until proven otherwise.]

Are we sure they will run a pro-style offense? Their running backs are runts and will they use tightends instead of fullbacks? The UF defense should be very good next year but I can see them still trying to figure it out on offense next year. We still don't have a back that makes teams worry and our receivers are still green. I also think Stocker's departure will hurt a lot trying to convert third downs. I don't know who has the upper hand in the game but both teams have a lot of questions.
