Muschump was offered the job here at Tennessee and turned it down. Why? Because he was not confident in his ability to turn a program around that was in complete disarray. Instead he took a job the next year with a team overflowing with talent and an easy pipeline to future talent.
Dooley however, took the job confident he could turn the program around. You have to respect a guy who has the confidence to come into a program that was in shambles but still has a fan base that expects a win every week.
