Did we get rid of Dooley too fast? I'm beginning to think we should have given him the time to learn and grow with the job. Tennessee may just be in a much better place today were Dooley still at the helm.
I LOVE it
Why not Doofy too? Shouldn’t he deserve time to “rite the ship?” Heck he didn’t get a ton of great players so he should have been given “more” time to get enough of “his” players.
Dooley and Pruitt are apples and oranges. Not on paper right now, I get that, but Dooley didn’t even check any of the right boxes. Pruitt does. JMODid we get rid of Dooley too fast? You act like this is such a ridiculous concept. We kept getting worse under Dooley, even when he got “his players” on the roster. By year 3 we knew what we had and the right choice was made.
Butch’s teams got better, but woefully underperformed. He had the talent, it was the in-game coaching that was hindering the talent. By year 5, we knew what we had and the right choice was made.
We don’t know what we have in Pruitt yet. Does the team seem to be getting worse? Yes it does, but the sample size is still small. In year 3 he will have “his players” on campus to run his system, then we will know what we have. Right now the majority of what he has are bad players, specifically a huge chunk of upperclassmen.

What if there are some that think Pruitt may or may not do better next year? What if some of us have no blind faith in him or anybody else, for that matter? Maybe we just think it's right and fair to give a guy a fair shot. Is it a fair shot to give a guy walking into a dumpster fire one plus years to fix things? What about two? My feelings are, we should know for sure by mid-next season---two full years, plus a half.Just sarcasm at people who “blindly” suggest Pruitt deserves “years” for no real reason.
I can see how some may have hope. I can see that some may think Pruitt can do better next year.......nothing too wrong with that (although for me I’ve seen enough); however there are some who seem to have “blind faith” and spout “years”......which is ridicules.......I think my post showed it was ridiculous (all be it with a different coach).
