What scares me about this....

IF he had beaten Mizz (when UT had NFL talent at QB, WR, RB, TE, etc. and let time expire on MZ's 38 yard line which resulted in a "L" in OT.....), he may have been here 1 or 2 more years! Just thinking of that I need a Rolaids.

I was in denial about Dooley until this game, at which point I threw in the towel.

In a game with no defenses, he chose to run out the clock and play for OT. I'm like you. The wheels began to come off my Doolittle Train that afternoon.

I sure have been wrong a lot in my life. I was tickled when Kiffen was hired and knew we were in good hands, wrong! When Butch was hired I was ready to kill somebody. Are u kidding me? This dude is gona suck! Wrong! But for once in my life I was right about something, DD was announced and I said we will regret this hire. That man was a walking bad decision. I hate how he treated players, past and present, while he was here. But hey, glad he won something.

Ps speaking of me and being wrong, the worst I've ever been wrong so far in football was when I said "when Leak leaves Florida they are gona suck cuz all this Tebow dude can do is run on the goal line. He sux!"

I understand they will be erecting statues of all the former head coaches at the UT Football Hall of Fame. Only since Dooley set the most records for UT's WORST in modern history. To best acknowledge his accomplishments, his statue shall remain headless. .

I think for a lot of us that game was the breaking point. I supported our DD as our coach until that game. There was no excusing the craptastic end to that game and the blame all fell directly on Dooley.

I personally think they should just put an empty base where the Dooley statue would be. A slap in the face to him and would stand as a reminder to the way UT fans felt by the time he finally left......empty.
