I think a lot of it had to do with Fulmer being a wet behind the ears in the whole tv business. Who knows if they have monitors that they can see each other. CDD even said once he was having trouble with the audio. I think Phil is still somewhat bitter, but I truly believe that he respects CDD and wishes him and the team all his best. Have a fine Navy day.

He will always be a coach, even though he isn't our current coach anymore. Along those same lines, even after I retire from the Navy in 4 years, I'll still be a Chief Petty Officer, retiring don't take that away. It's a pride thing. Have a fine Navy day.

1. Fulmer is still bitter that that isn't his job. Anger/hatred toward Kiffin; jealousy toward Dooley. I do think, however, that as Fulmer gets over it, the Fulmer/Dooley relationship will be much better than any Fulmer/Kiffin relationship ever could've been.

2. I thought the bit about Jacques was interesting. He's been through 3 head coaches and hasn't even been through his first official practice.

Fulmer gets dressed in the closet with the lights out???? C'mon man, you r on TV. Black suit, blue tie,pink shirt, red hanky, OYE! Good interview except Fulmer reading the prepared statement for Dooley.

Fulmer has always been in full support of UT. The man basically gave his entire adult life to Tennessee football.

He many not have liked some of the things Lane Kiffin was doing, but so what? I didn't like a lot of the things he was doing, either, and I never wore the orange jersey like Fulmer did.

I think you would find that Coach Fulmer has a lot of respect for Vince Dooley, and doesn't mind at all that his son, who clearly reflects a lot of the same values, is coaching the Vols now.

ha! I noticed that, gave me a laugh. Seemed Fulmer made him a bit nervous, and it's as it should be. I really like Dooley so much more than that last hire.

I challenge everybody go back to 2000 and start looking at recruiting classes and you will see why we have had problems many of the 2 and 3* were far more productive than the 5*s.PF was a great OL coach and should have stuck to it look at the Gators Meyer coaches special teams and they are great.Poor Randy Sanders took the hit for Fulmer not much different than what he did to Johnny Majors.Fulmer may be a Tenn graduate you can't take that away but if he had busted is hump he would still have a job and we probably would be in a different position now.But for you youngsters life isn't fair doughboy got 6 mil for deserting us.Then came the Lane who debacle and now we seem to have a man with the drive to put us back at the top and hopefully that is what we alll want.Go Vols

I think most of the eye contact thing is, as one poster stated above, a lack of commentator experience/training. CPF is not a TV commentator. As far as the "coach" thing: he will always be known as Coach Fulmer to his ex-players and most people in the business. Even on here, most posters refer to him as CPF. I am not a Fulmerite or a Fulmer "hater. I truly respect him for what he has given to this university and I will always refer to him or address him as Coach. If he can help CDD out with some old recruiting connections or anything for that matter, I welcome that. I do not want him as AD as some on here have suggested, though. I also don't want him looking over CDDs shoulder all the time or having any input other than requested by CDD. I think the "you have always been a big fan of mine" was the first gaff I have heard from CDD. I had to laugh.

I think it would be so nice, to see all the Tennessee family pull together, and build something very special for our program. It would also be very nice if the local sports announcers, and commentators would jump on board to, instead of so much negativity. We have something very special here, lets be much more positive about it, for the better of all. Objective reporting is fine, but 85 % negative, and 15 percent positive, is not very positive experience for the program, it should be reversed

Good vid. Nice 2 see. Saw CPF the other nite at the Vandy game. Was glad to see the crowd cheer him @ halftime when he was walking over to his seat. Class act & I think Dooley is of that sort of character.

Concerning the dropped head. It's a TV thing. Doing live TV is not for the faint of heart. And, being the one asking the questions is 5x more difficult than the guy doing the answering. I don't think CPF was ever putting a lot of pressure on Jay Leno when he had his own TV show. TV is not the man's strength. And I don't think that's news around here.

Thanks. I take great pride in my Monterey, TN education. Small school, only 67 in my class. I respect Coach Fulmer, as all of us as true Vol fans should. Now it's time to get our full support behind Coach Dooley and our Tennessee Volunteers. Have a fine Navy day.
