CDD will not be fired and he will be the coach next year. I dont think he is the man to turn the program around but that is who we are stuck with for at least one more season if not two more seasons. So just dig in its going to be a long two years.

Not really. Knew it was a hick spouting off the moment I read the title. Dooley will be the coach next season no matter what fans cry for. Hart's silence means nothing except he's doing what he does and doing it without feeling the need to share it with message board bubbas like the OP...and that's the way it should be.

Just shows they're solidly behind Dooley. Love the enthusiasm, fire, energy and most of all the unquestioned leadership and togetherness of the team.

if Dooley is fired, I will accept an apology from all those that ridiculed him in post after post and set our program back ANOTHER five years after we lose all his recruits.

He's not going anywhere. You guys are wasting your time. Folks who know what they're talking about (LWS, DeerPark, etc) have said he's here until at least the end of next season and the only way he's fired after next year is if UT only wins 4-5 games.

id be shocked if hes fired this year. even tho he prob. should be. he is more than likely being told to improve his staff cuz next year is d day.

What difference does it make if his firing is THIS year or NEXT? His buyout is $5 million next year as well. Dooley can't get it done here, that is obvious. BUT... the ONLY way you can fire DD is if Hart KNOWS that he has "his man" in the bag now. IF something happens, I would almost guarantee that Hart will have an "official" hire within that week.

Not sure if it makes a huge difference but there would be one less coach on the payroll if fired after next year. Fulmer only has a year left on his contract. I don't think anything is happening, I believe CDD gets one more year. If he doesn't show quite a bit of improvement he is gone.

Well on a good note, if he has a terrible year next year...we only have a few days until the end of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just read five pages of posts and the only thing I've learned is that I'm the stupid one for reading them.

My time for pushing through traffic and climbing stairs at Neyland is nearing the end; I hate the thought of sitting through another season like this one. Prices for hotdogs will probably go up too.
