That's in Georgia right?

Do coaches have to teach in Georgia too, or is it a full time position down there like in Texas?

Yeah, in Georgia.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe in most districts head football coaches are teachers

Rush Propst is now the head coach at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. He resigned from Hoover in 2007 after his coaching staff was accused of spying on on Vestavia Hills, grade-changing, using an ineligible player in four games, and giving preferential treatment for some football players. He was also accused of questionable finances and he had been having an affair and he has an illegitimate child due to it.
Even thought he made some mistakes he is a good coach. Colquitt County was 2-8 the season before he was head coach in 2007. They were 11-3 last season.

wow. A real stand-up guy. Just the kind you would like coaching/teaching your son.

I don't know him so I don't want to judge but I know he has paid a price for it. It cost him his job at Hoover, a job as the offensive coordinator at the University of South Alabama and major public embarrassment. He screwed up big time but he apologized and he is taking care of the child he had in the affair.
