Dooley said the team "gave up".

what happens in the NCSt game if we let them change 2-3 big plays?

NC State never had control of any aspect of that game after the first quarter. UT had control of the Florida came until late in the 3rd quarter, with a chance to go up 2 scores.

Apples to Oranges.

why do people keep posting comments from years prior about a team that is no longer on campus. If you want to bring something about the Florida game, bring it.

And listen to another coaches press conference after a loss every once in awhile. They all say the same damn thing about competing and letting games slip away. Losing focus, energy, composure. It's a common speach every week across the country. Go away from VN and venture out a little.

OK...very common...then give some examples...should be easy

No thanks. I already know. You need to do your own homework if you don't know what other coaches around the country in college and pro tend to say after losses.

If you want a "we gave are best effort and just came up short", you'd be all over him for that as well, and you aren't going to get it anyway.

If the coach saw this then maybe he should have burned one of the 3 TOs we had left at the end of the game and huddled up and lit the fire under them...
If this is the case then I say the players gave up...but the coaches saw it happening and did nothing to stop it.

I read exactly what you posted just fine. And you need to go to debate class well before I need to reread anything

I'll also tell you where I fit in, 'c' that you are on a public message board where I or anyone else can respond where ever they want anytime they choose.
Well then you apparently can't read. We weren't talking about the game dipsheet. I said we're behind in recruiting... He said we weren't. I say deny it all you want but that's where we rank. That's were the whatever helps you sleep at night comment came from. Glad i could sum it up for you, since you went back 3 pages to call me out on one quote in a conversation. Now you're up to speed... Have a nice day or not. I don't care really........

You seem to have forgotten that UF ended the first half with a 80 yard drive and opened up the second with a 68 yard drive. Our first drive of the second half went 81 yards, then we did nothing the rest of the game. We were all right for as long as it took UF to make adjustments, and then our coaches just stood there helplessly and watched it play out.

Coaches didn't do a good job at adjusting. The loss falls on DD

That's really what I thought it came down to. We can argue back and forth about whether the players "quit" or just "didn't respond well," even though that's probably a distinction without a difference. I mainly thought this was just a straightforward example of Tennessee's coaches losing the chess game to Florida's coaches.

DD absolutely should have done something. Doesnt really mesh with his micromanager label.

No. I didn't forget any of that. An illegal motion by our 3rd string TE right off the bench for the first time all game on a 2nd and 1 near the 50 led to the punt and the drive.

We had a 7 point lead midway through the 3rd quarter and stopped the fake.

Chaney made a bad play call, Rivera missed a blitzer as he was confused, Bray can't sidestep the blitzer, throws the ball away, grounding, then our coaches stood there and made bad call after bad call on both sides of the ball and did nothing to stop the bleeding.

My opinions may mean little, but my memory is pretty clear.

Dooley is right on in this FL game recap. The entire clip is good but his summary from 4:20 on is great. At some point you've got to call it the way everyone in the stands and watching from home saw it. I'm not suggesting 22 men laid down. However, it is obvious there are some issues on the field that need to be dealt with (corrected or replaced).

In the Maryville Daily Times in an article by Grant Ramey (line here:Tennessee Runs Out Of Juice - The Daily Times) , Dooley says this:

Thought it was interesting that he would said that.

At least, he and I agree on something.

Yep. He told me I didn't know wtf I was talking about when i said the same thing because I was never a wr in the SEC. Although by his logic, he may still be right, was Dooley a wr? I guess he would tell the head coach the same thing.

JH's video is on the 9/17 video thread. Fast forward to the last question. Then, watch Dooley's press conference when he discusses the lack of rotation with the wr's that made them tired.

Like I told you before when you made your comment, you had no idea what you were talking about, and there is the info from the horses mouth for you. The point about you not playing wr was simply to show how ridiculous it was for you to have that opinion, and I don't know how one watches football and comes up with your opinion. Watching games must be a blast when you don't know what's happening.

You went to the trouble of picking a picture to put with your post, never realizing that Dooley didn't say that.

Awesome.

Dooley didn't have to, 102,000 people saw it. Whether or not is a misconstrued quote or not, we watched our Vols quit again, and lay an egg in the second half against UF.

The team did give up. Not sure what is so difficult to understand about the statement. You don't need a coach to motivate you against UF if you play for UT, at some point the players need to be held accountable.
