Dooley said he might appeal....

Anyone think there should have been an intentional grounding call on Lee a few plays earlier when he threw it through the goal post with no receivers in the middle of the field?

Anybody think that you have never played a down of football in your entire life and have no idea what you're talking baout?

Lsu broke the huddle with players still running onto the field. The refs should have thrown the flag against lsu based on that alone.you cannot challange a ref failing to throw a penalty flag. Otherwise time had run out and no flags were on the field, game over. You cannot restart a game or throw a flag that would pertain to a game that has already ended. Tennessee should have gone on to the dressing room, the game was over and those refs no longer have a say. What a croc!

That isn't true for extra men on the field, unfortunately.

I hope this is a joke. His behavior at the end of the game was sickening. He should have shook Miles hand and taken responsibility for the loss instead of coming up with some crap about LSU snapping the ball quickly and wasting his time trying to appeal a call.

gtfo....I guess you would have been just "thrilled" to have a game stripped from you...sheesh

Why are some people so worried about the hand shake after the game?

God.

Children.

I would have punched that joke of a coach in the throat...his hand shake was all smoke and mirrors anyhow...he knows he got out yet again with the skin of his teeth and some luck luck luck

Les miles always tries to come up with some cheap way to whine about his loss. Throw a flag, put more time on the clock. You cannot make illegal substitution. You cannot have offensive player s come on the field after breaking the huddle.

I've seen coaches lose heartbreaking games all the time. Very rarely have I seen them trying to avoid the other coach. He should be pissed, but you can be pissed when you shake the other guys hand. I'm not saying this because I want to make sure Les Miles gets a handshake after a fluke win, I'm saying it because the running away thing seemed childish. The vast majority of coaches in college football wouldn't succeed with Tennessee in the position they're in now. I can't help but feel that Dooley is in over his head.

Coaching Error. When the other team is in disarray, don't join them.

P.S. I'm a Dooley fan

It seems childish because it is.

Just like the appeal idea...

Just like calling players out in the media...

Let's hope he keeps this list short. :hi:

We should have just taken our time getting the correct personnel on the field. We had every right to do so. They have to give us reasonable time to sub. We just panicked. Time would have run out.

I would just like to see the shot of their sideline to see that their players were off the field.....

I don't mind him calling a player out, but if he screwed up, he damn sure better accept responsibility.

What ball was still live? The vols had recovered on the ground, thus, the play was dead. I'm more upset that the flags didn't go flying for unsportsmanlike on LSU for throwing helmets on the field that would have offset the defensive penalty..ie game over.

What I'm really upset about is giving up a 4th and 14. How do you have open receivers across the middle when you only rush 3? etc, etc. This game was not lost by one play.

We go almost 4 quarters with only 5yards worth of penalties and then we get a pass interference at the back of the end zone that wasn't catchable and its puts them at the 2 yard line and then when they still can't get the ball in the endzone they put it on the 1 foot line for them. We played to win and we came close. I believe that with time and experience we will win these kind of games

Another ten years and the whole state of la will be under water away. I hope tennesse remembers this when all those cajuns start looking for high ground.

I respectfully disagree...I was hugging my family the same way he was hugging the players. I share his emotions. He hung with a much more talented team as he did with periods with oregon and florida. I have faith in him. he needs players and we need time. BUT, I will never disown him over not shaking Mile's lucky @ss hand after this game. Hand shakes are EARNED.

Didnt see it but maybe Dooley already shook his hand after the "win"... It would appear the "re-shake" would be rubbing it in Dooley's face and deserving of a punch in the throat or just heading to the locker room...
