Dooley Progress: Where is it?

I'm just trying to understand Dooley supporters: Where is the progress? I sat and watched this whole Troy game and tried to be objective. Happy we won and all but it was kind of like a tie in hockey or eating a steak dinner then puking it all up. I just want some more intricate and creative arguments why a poor coach deserves another year and we all deserve this garbage.

Based on the on-field performances, I do not see how anyone can say that Dools deserves another year.

Unfortunely, there is also the financial side of things. If we are having to deal with cash only in the stadium, we are broke.

He gets another year (my view)....only if he makes key staff changes on the D side. Must be secondary (highest priority)...and can or cannot include Sal as well. Then he must bring in qaulity players with this recruiting class....freshmen that will CAN play in the secondary (speed is needed).

If he can do this, I would like to see CDD come back and turn this around. Of course...no juniors on the O side can leave (part of my view as well for a successful turnaround).

50,000 empty seats is no way to improve the bottom line.

Tennessee can't afford to keep Dooley.

To answer your question- everywhere except defense.. Really.

I'm ready for a change though.

He's responsible for what's on the field.. It's sucked, but the attendance is on us.

Sorry, I am just can't accept the idea that if Dooley fires Sal & some defensive coaches, he gets another year. What then? The same people wishing for this or wating Dools to stay will say he should get even more time as the defense is rebuilding and having to learn a new system. BS!! Dooley for whatever reason was not able to keep Wilcox and Sirmon here. He hired Sal. I am tired of the excuses. It's all on the head coach. FIRE HIM TODAY!! We just sat back and did the wait and see this week. Once again, it was a trainwreck on the field and recruits are paying attention. It's only going to get worse.

So we need to change more on the coaching staff and that's going to turn this around?

I think that Sunseri is part of a Bama conspiracy with Saban to run Tennessee into the ground. Does anyone else think Sunseri can be so incompetent? This would explain his press coverage on 3rd and long with a single safety. I have heard no other rational explanation.

Amen. I just worry that on the financial side that our finance will get worse if we don't make a change.

There is no credible argument that he DESERVES another year. Some say they think he should be GIVEN one, but I've seen no one demonstrated that it is deserved.

He doesn't deserve the pay he's already taken, for that matter.

Not so sure. Finances are tough everywhere, so families and fans must choose where to spend. With people protesting Dooley, people make other choices.

We beat a SunBelt team in regulation instead of OT like in 2010. :)

For CDD to make it to next year, I think so.

If he holds pat with his current staff on the D...I think he is done. I'm thinking about the secondary....this is the weak link...fix that and this team rolls strong.

Well, considering Kiffin left 3 WEEKS BEFORE SIGNING DAY, I think Dooley did phenominal considering recruiting. Being a .500 program the last couple of years, Dooley did a GREAT job of recruiting. Now, when it comes to coaching, I surrender. However, he did stock the cupboard for another incoming coach. :mf_surrender:
