I think I would rather have Dooley prove himself on the field then talk smack like an annoying little 12 yr old girl. Kiffin made sly little remarks in the media but I could care less, we still will get plenty of TV time with our schedule and hopefully Dooley focusing on the job means a better team.

Lawyers never let the opposition see what they have or don't have.They must be intelligent to be a success.A coaches son no doubt has learned the ins and outs of the game especially when the father was a legend. Being tutored by a future legend from LSU, the NFL, going to a small school. Record aside at that school he was the coach and the athletic director.That's alot on the plate yet he did as difficult as it was.Now he has the opportunity to be the head coach at Tenn.That's his total focus.We have a young coach on the rise.At what point do we stop whining.

His father was one of the greatest SEC coaches,duh nodoubt he's learned something about football.He's a Saban protege, duh he's learned something about football, i.e. LSU, the NFL. Dooley's no dummy he knows football and has the coaching pedigree and background to put Orange back on the map. Wake up dude.

Just because his daddy rode Herschel's coattails and his former boss is a great coach doesn't mean he's destined for greatness.

I never said he was great. I stated some of his background that doesn't show he's a bust. I said a young coach on the rise. They all had to start somewhere. Yet everybody's writing the guy off before he got started.

Yeah it's funny how well you're liked when they're kicking your butt, not so much when the shoe is on the other foot. I expect the same on here if we ever got back to winning on a regular basis. In my book, Dooley gets to start with a clean slate. He doesn't have to earn MY respect. He gets it automatically. He can only do two things as far as I'm concerned:

1. Lose my respect
2. Strengthen my respect

Those things will be determined on the field

I don't get that, but whatever. You get respect by earning it... just like you end up being a leader by your actions. You're not a leader or someone that deserves respect just b/c of a title.

Coaching in the NFL is no piece of cake. Coaching under Al Davis is no piece of cake. If you added the millions of dollars coaches made after they were fired by Al Davis, you'd start to see a pattern.

Just because a head coach fails for the Silver and Black doesn't mean he's garbage. Does Louisiana Tech have the same track record for failed coaches?

They don't view Tennessee as a viable threat like they used too. Winning 5 in a row will give you that type of confidence as it should. It does kind of get under your skin that they say one thing and really don't mean it though. The shoe will be on the other foot someday again. God only knows when though, as of right now doesn't look to be anytime soon.
