Because Dooley has?
Nope. Both are in about the same boat. I'm just pointing out that he reveres Kiffin yet states that Dooley will obviously fail based upon previous results (mostly based upon one year).
I'm just wondering why this criteria of a crappy coaching record applies to Dooley, but not Kiffin. Personally, I'm lukewarm on Dooley, but it's still about the same I felt about Kiffin when he was hired, too.
George Quarles has won big in high school. I'm surprised he didn't get a call, since there's apparently no difference between that and the NFL either.

So, that's why people people can love Kiffin and dog Dooley for having terrible coaching records? Because Kiffin got Al Davis to hire him when no sane coach wanted to work in the Raiders organization?
Like I said, I'm pretty much the same with Dooley as I was with Kiffin, but the logic eludes me as to why Dooley will no doubt fail while Kiffin was some rising star in those same people's eyes.
Maybe we can hire Rich Kotite next? Hey, he was an NFL coach. He must be good.
Alot of people who are from the Knoxville area post things that only someone from the area would know about. I wonder what Volnation members from around the country think when they read those posts. I know who he is because I'm from Tennessee but a vast majority of people on here must be scratching their heads when people do this.
I'm not being critical. It's just something I've noticed.

I think most people know who he is by now because this is about the 500th time this same argument has happened on VN.
Hat says Dooley sucks because of his record, someone points out that Kiffin had a losing record too, SGM chimes in to explain the difference between the WAC and the NFL.
We should just name every other thread Groundhog Day on the Hill.
Wait til you see how many are thrilled Dooley is on our sidelines the next four years. Watching sheep like you lead to slaughter will almost make the putrid product on the field the next five years palatable.
Just to be clear........... You are on record for the millionth time, stating you think Dooley is a BAD hire ...
Also his reign as The Top Vol will be terrible at best ?
Just to put the post out here for anyone to see....
I HAVEN'T turned 800 posts yet and Hatty has 40,000 so I just wanted to clarify the point that, I don't know much but he has put his stake in the ground, there will be NO going back in 3-7 years stating how "He knew it all along"..........:clapping:
1. He didn't get the Game Maxims tatooed on his forehead.
2. He didn't show patience with the orange overall crowd when they called Vol Calls asking him "how long he had known his defensive coordinator."
3. He wasn't an obese, inbred hick who purported to "bleed orange."
4. His wife didn't resemble He Man's nemesis.
5. He didn't let Florida score 50.
6. His mother wouldn't win a Paula Deen soundalike contest.
7. He doesn't consider old tapes of the Johnny Majors Show must see TV.
8. He let his players have their way and wear those blasphemous black jerseys.
9. He wears pants, not britches.
10. Wil Mushmouth didn't recommend him.
Hat is a lawyer. Regardless of the outcome, he will have a way out of his stance. He's trained to find loop-holes and technicalities.
The day he ever admits to being wrong...........well let's just say you better get right with the man upstairs..
