Dooley Plays Nicey-Me No Likey

i'm sure dooley intends to beat urban meyer and anyone else whenever the opportunity presents itself.

i think the sentiment of giving the enemy the middle finger comes from the frustration of being on the short end of the stick for a while and the anticipation that it will stay that way for at least a little while longer, if not a whole lot longer.

the streak to bama and florida will end. don't know when. when it does, there will be much rejoicing on rocky top and you, the fans, will be the ones who can give the middle finger if you choose.

and, i promise to be here to receive the middle finger and say congratulations.

You are so cordial.. :p

You're the one asserting that I'm different in person than I am here. Of course, you don't want to find out that's inaccurate. It makes your attempts at making a point even more futile.

My point is very easily made. Your fondness of being as cynical and rude as possible is an obvious compensation for something.

I never said that you are different outside of this board. You may have inferred it because you are insecure about it, though.

I'm sure that you are every bit as much of a jerk in person and I'm sure that you are also damn proud of it, at least outwardly.

I believe that a healthy, heated college football rivalry can exist without the need for a middle finger from either side, EVER.

Because success is cyclical.

Sportsmanship from winners AND losers can still exist.

I saw a show about it on the History Channel.

Why wait. :the_finger:

No need to add anything here.

:good!: :good!: :good!:

Yeah, I had to throw him off a sixth floor balcony once.

must have been filmed outside the United States.

i don't, personnally, talk smack. but, i'm not stupid either. most people don't like opposing fans on their board, no matter what they say.

i know tennessee folks hate florida fans a whole lot more than vice versa at the moment.

i remember when georgia beat florida in 1997. never seen a happier group of fans. ever.

That's true. It's compensation for the fact the law won't allow me to summarily execute stupid people.

Stupid people or people that don't agree with you.

Big difference, IMO.

I might like where you're going with this IF it's for swabbing the gene pool purposes.

Get back to me when you can.

I lived in Gainesville long enough to know that a healthy rivalry can only exist with most Gator fans when they are not on their own turf or not in groups.

I did meet quite a few old-timers who remember the days when the Gators weren't so dominant and most of them were respectful and friendly.

Most of my younger friends were good people until it came to being Gator fans. Then, the arrogance and sense of entitlement made them hard to tolerate. Also, their actions on Gameday when they had a little alcohol in them were despicable. Screaming obscenities at women and children, antagonizing visiting fans, keying cars, vandalizing vehicle paraphernalia, etc...I could go on.

I can't even begin to describe how many Gator brats I knew from S. Fla who thought the world revolved around their program and thought everybody else was second-rate in every aspect. Those same people wouldn't say a word about football when Zook was the coach and you couldn't get them to talk about it when he left.

I'm sure UT has our share of ignorant "reds" and crazy drunk kids but for every one of them you will find dozens of hospitable good people. I honestly can't say the same for Gator fans in Gainesville.

Pretty harsh suggesting that stupid people talk smack, IMO. jk

No matter what. I'll ALWAYS hate anyone or anything dawg related WAY more viciously than I do vol fans (love their women and always have).

And I agree. Being on their team boards is bound to cause friction and outbursts. I get that.

IMO, dooley's nicey will eventually bite the Gators, sooner or later. And then we'll see how the Gator clods react.

Glad you didn't disappoint :)

I have plenty of issues with stupid people. Mostly, it has to do with stupid drivers who endanger my family.

I only take issue with how far you take things to prove your points. Quite a bit of the time it is not needed as you have the upper hand on knowledge.

The rest of the time is comes off as classless and somewhat shock-jockish(that sounds a lot like a disease).

I can see thinking that Dooley isn't the guy for the job. I can't understand anyone who proclaims that they are completely sure he will fail. I have yet to see you give him any hope of succeeding and you act like those who do are imbeciles. You also lump them in with Fulmerites because Dooley is also Southern and has voiced respect for Fulmer. That's asinine.

Let the man do his damn job before you throw him and all those who support or give him a chance off the deep end.

It is what it is.

I believe your impressions. I'm just uncomfortable with categorizing(most) very large groups of people (except dawgs). Especially with large numbers of bandwagon jumpers and bailers due to success or struggles.

My crowd (older and ever smaller) seems civil to me. At their cores, I believe fan bases are about the same.

2 be completely honest the man knows how much we hate florida, alabama and georgia. He has a history in the SEC and understands the hatred but that doesnt mean he cant be civil with the coaches when the games are months away. Closer 2 the season Im sure the situation will change when the competitive nature of the game presents itself. This doesnt mean they call and wish each other goodnight. People read into these things way 2 much in my opinion.

Why? If Ford Motor made a failed saleman their CEO, would you say "give him a chance."? Of course, you wouldn't. The guy was .500 in conference play in an awful league. Gary Crowton, who when given a shot to step up damn near destroyed BYU's program, was more successful at Tech. You're right. I can't imagine why someone would be confident Dooley will fail.

I loved Kiffin. He was doing the right things to get us back to the top. He left. We may have dodged a bullet or missed out on a home run. But he doesn't coach my team anymore so now I will give Dooley a few years to show what he can do. I wanted Fulmer fired after 05 and I will want Dooley fired if he can't get it done. But for now I'm behind him.
