What was Dooley so pissed about after the game? Was he upset for his team for not winning? Was there something else that made him so angry that I missed?

Maybe he's just angry by nature. There was no way it had anything to do with the way the game ended.

he Vols had 13 defenders on the field there at the end of the game, and the right call was made by the officials -- even though one of the LSU players clearly threw his helmet following the bad shotgun snap when it appeared Tennessee had won. The rules state that it’s a 15-yard penalty for removing your helmet on the field of play. - espn

They were also not set, which should have been an illegal shift penalty

It could have been possibly that calls were not made that should have been made against LSU. Obviously he's not happy for the team to lose this game. All I asked if there was something that someone else might know that I don't.

I swear to God, do people like you know anything about football? Sometimes I think we have the worst fans in college football.

People like me? For calling him out for blowing this game. It was not just the last play I'm pissed about. I think he is a lousy coach. I could rattle off a page worth of things I don't like. In toady's sports world its about winning now and he wont make that happen any time soon bro.

"More Cowbell"...hilarious. One of the funniest SNL sketches ever. Right up there with "Samurai whatever", and William Shatner.

Now...we lost the game. LSU didn't win it, we lost it. Simple as that. Think back to '98. Syracuse. Arkansas. Yeah, I know...great plays by UT players to win the game. But really? One tackle by a Syracuse defender...or an Arkansas QB who knows how to fall on the ball...and no BCS trophy for UT.

Again, simple as that.

UT Football...and Derek Dooley...has heart. This team wants to win. What a welcome change from previous teams that expected to win, and made excuses when they didn't. Yes, the losses hurt. Especially the tough ones, like this one. But tough losses make tough teams, and this team, in the games and years to come...if they hold the course they're on...will win the tough games, and the big games, in time.

This is a bowl team. Right now. They might not get to one, but riddle me this: What 8-4 team would want to play this UT team on a neutral field in December?

Maybe West Virginia. They have nothing to lose.

It is what it is.

Go Vols.

Your opinion is your opinion. My opinion is that you are wrong.
