Dooley Out Les Mileses Wes Miles

We weren't "outfoxed" by Miles. He made more stupid decisions that Dooley, but managed to win with a tremendous talent advantage.

We gave up a 4th & a cab ride not once but TWICE on the last series. To a backup QB and WR. Players did their job. Coaches.... not so much.

Three stupid decisions by Dooley staff cost UT this game:
1. Missed FG by Parlady - you have Lincoln on the sidelines who is 7 for 7 this year with a 49 yarder; why the hell did he not kick?
2. 4th and inches with 5 minutes to go - Simms is 6'2" 230; why not go with the QB keeper or kick a field goal? A FG would have sent this game to OT where we are 10-2
3. Substitution at the end - why try to run guys on/off the field with only 10 seconds left? Keep your Defense thats on the field in the game

I have been a Dooley supporter from day 1 - but this makes me wonder if we hired the right guy. Those decisions are inexcusable!

1. Lincoln was hurt...
2. If we would have used simms you would be saying why in the world did he not use poole, the one who has a ton of power.
3. In the rules, the defense is allowed to substitute also. Technically we could have ran the clock out by substituting, but the umpire didn't give us a chance. Dooley said this himself after the game. I'm pretty sure he knows the rule book better than you or me.

1. Lincoln is hurt.

2. I agree here. I would have liked to see Simms sneak the ball.

3. Because LSU was confused about their packages and we were responding to what they sent in, which was in the end, a pass package. Miles said as much in his post game comments. Initially we had a run package it. I bet we didn't have enough DB's in there to defend and our LB's are good enough to defend their receivers. Saw that on the 4th and 13.

kids played hard - coaches game plan worked - our players are improving -They just got their heart ripped out by some craziness - I am extremely proud of the Vols - who thought we would battle this hard and be talking about one play - win lose or draw I am all Vol and right Damn proud of them whine if you want - just kick the couch and go see those kids at the airport if you can - they need to know we have their back

I was solidly in the Dooley camp until today... Now I'm not so sure about him. Wilcox lost me last week. I will say that Simms seems to be improving SLIGHTLY, but a loss is still a loss.....

gtfo, this is the dumbest post i've seen today. you don't know jack squat about sports.

We did not get outfoxed by miles. He is a blooming idiot! However, he is the luckiest coach alive!

During the last drive I was telling my wife he is the dumbest, luckiest coach I have ever seen. Then during the substitutions at the end I was saying, "See look at this mess but it will work out for him somehow." Then finally I thought his luck had run out..but oh no he's not done yet.

? I'm trying to not go off. Last week we couldn't get 11 on the field for field goal defense. This week, well you know what happened. This isn't popular, it falls on one place and that is on our staff. Just because LSU decides to run a Chinese fire drill with 7 seconds left doesn't mean we needed to.

Great point. Most teams play goal line against 3 wide packages.

I think that Miles' stupidity was so overwhelming that it spilled over onto our sideline during the last play.
