Dooley on Nashville radio?

I hope he is on 3HL in Nashville... Would love to hear him set Clay Travis straight about the shape our football program was in the last few years!

Of course, Clay wouldn't be able to respond with James Franklin's junk in his mouth!

I read this more than once and laughed my a** off. This is funny.

Really appreciate Dooley smacking down Clay Travis about the "barber shop comments" implying that message board members are stupid. Dooley said nothing of the sort and his obvious frustration toward Clay was evident. Dooley actually complimented the knowledge of most message board posters.

Yeah I caught that too. Clay was trying to get Dooley to insult the fan base, and in turn Dooley made it clear that Travis was twisting his words.

Am I right in thinking that there was some moment in a press conference prior to the season where Dooley clowned on Clay for asking a dumb question? If I recall correctly, Clay made some cheeky remark about DD's hair, and DD made him look stupid in front of all the other reporters. I read about this a while back but can't find confirmation of it now. Prior to this season, Clay seemed to really like Dooley, but if this incident happened the way I read it partially explains why Clay is so butthurt about Dooley and constantly trashing him.

Also, even though he bashes UT, the fact that Clay couldn't repeat his criticisms of DD when he had an opportunity confirms in my mind he is a UT homer. Dooley could neutralize a lot of the criticism of him in the mid-TN market by calling in more often. Clay would never act like this if his show was in Knoxville or if he had to face Dooley often. Once listeners realize that Clay can't/won't confront Dooley with his BS, or that DD always has good responses when Clay does, I think it would do a lot to help the public perception of the Vols here.

Clay tried to talk over Dooley's head about something or another, and Dooley just acted like Clay was a fool dumbed it down and more or less made Clay look extra foolish. I personally think that since that time Clay's perspective of Dooley has changed drastically. I just can not for the life of me remember the what the questions was.

I think it was, "coach Franklin lets me hold his thing when he pees. may I hold your thing while you pee? follow up, may I peek my head under the stall door while you take a dump?"

Is it just me or is Rucker and Clay Travis cut from the same annoying cloth. They even sound alike . Its the Howard Stern rule for them- People who hate you listen longer than people who like you. But, I dont fall for that, I wont listen or read anything from either one. Travis is probably Rucker's idol.

I think comparing Rucker to Travis is a big insult to Rucker.

I stopped listening to the 3HL a couple of months ago. The idle chatter is fine during the noon hour, but at drive time people want some substance instead of inane chatter.

One of Clay's favorite arguments is that people who post on message boards should have to post their name. He concludes that not posting a name when someone has a thought makes them a coward.

I challenge Clay to this; if he really believes that anonymity makes someone a coward I suggest he puts his personal cellular phone number on every blog that he writes. He would quickly find that he goes to great lengths to create some real separation between what he says and those to whom he is speaking.

He would probably counter that his name and face are already out there. But, he is being paid to take that risk, we (as anonymous online posters) are not. I would be surprised if he has a listed phone number, or if one could easily find his address...we (as anonymous posters) don't typically have that luxury.

This seems a similar argument to a "movie star" who complains about the paparazzi. In essence, their fame comes from the people's desire to turn them into a commodity. That is what being a "star" is and where the money comes from. Something has to be sacrificed (some level of their privacy).

I get his point, that people are capable of saying terrible things when they are anonymous, and he is right. But even having your name attached to a message doesn't verify that the message is true, honest and unbiased.

Which is worse? A trained media personality who makes their money on inflammatory opinions, or some redneck behind a computer who posts inflammatory hateful drivel? Both offend their audience, one just gets paid to do it.

Geeze, I got off subject. Sorry...

I do anonymous posting because I just say what pops in my head, and don't really get to have the privilege at the work place. It's kind of a fun chance to actually be yourself a little. However, I noticed clay isn't to critical to Dooley when he speaks to him in interviews. He just tries to out smart Dooley and Dooley always wins.

You're correct, dooley got on him after a dumb question but it wasn't about his hair. He asked him about how if he couldn't compete with Ga or UF when they were down now, how could he hope to compete with them when they got back to where they had been. Dooley basically said it was a dumb question - "absurd" if I rem correctly.

Thanks! I really appreciate the response. Been trying to remember this for a while now.

When DD is not on the air clay talks **** about him.
When DD is on the air clay talks **** about VN.
What a punk b!tch

Lol. Whining about a message board. Weak!

Another thought, if we are so dumb, why give us credibility by showing that he is effected by what we say in a radio interview with Coach Dooley. I would think there are better questions to ask CDD than his thoughts on message board posters.

That is why you should only talk about Clay Travis on this site and never go to his site. It gets to him anyway and he doesn't get money for visits to the Great Volnation.

Travis asked lorenzo neal why he had a pink case on his phone in a smart a$$ manner and neal quickly told him because his sister has cancer. Travis quickly submitted coward down...What a damn douche...I wish lorenzo would have choked his a$$ out!

Clay is that little worm that thinks he's being clever with his snarky comments only to find himself needing a shoehorn to get his foot out of his mouth. I'm sure Clay soiled himself when he found out why Lorenzo was using a pink case.

Clay is that punk from High School who thinks he knows everything and will tell you how you don't know anything and he is always right. I quit listening to 104.5 because off him. I mainly listen to 560am in Nashville now.
