Dooley on Douglas

CDD did what he thought was best for Douglas and trying to get his life turned around. Made decision with no concern about where he might have played in the future. Trying to do what was best for the kid..
Agreed. Kid needed help and got it. His greatness as a tackle is overstated.

Thats immaturity picking at a kid for being addicted to pills or whatever the case is, and to criticize him for trying to get back on track...we dont know the issues, some of us fans think we know everything but we rarely know what is really going on. Maybe he needed to get away from the area or people to be able to kick the addiction, if he actually had an addiction. Sure he ended up at Alabama, but if he had to make a decision, and couldnt stay at UT, why not Bama? I mean, we dont know so why poke fun at him? That is low character IMO. Good grief. Same with Bryce and now even some are starting to make assumptions about Janzen. We dont know what the real deal is so why not just say "Thanks and good luck". I am so glad everyone doesnt see all the mistakes i made as a 18-22 year old.

well said!!!!!!!

Personally, I wish him the best at Alabama, for all but one day in the next two years. I hope he spends the next two Third Saturdays in October beaten up, bruised, and despondent after watching the Tide's national championship aspirations go up in smoke at the hands of the team and coach he didn't want to play for.

I know he didn't share like a good sport would have. Out with him, the world is jammed full with selfish addicts.

Not sure why anybody would think there was anything going on except above board. My goodness, Coach Saban does seem to have nothing except the kids in his heart.

Seriously I hope the best for him. I do worry, because I am sure if there is any problems, Coach Saban will not necessarily be so happy to keep him on scholarship. If the timing were different, Coach Dooley may have been able to flip the outcome.

Either way, fair winds to this young man.
