Dooley on Bray

The kid doesn't have much experience with losing. He definitely didn't like the way the MCB ended. Might have been a wake up call for doing what he needs to win in the SEC's top tier. No doubt that's what he wants. I'm thinking this year's team will take it to a higher level.

This may sound silly, but I saw that Music City Bowl loss as a possible good guy for his developement. He was having everyone kissing his arse and annoiting him the second coming of Manning, and I feel thats the worst thing that can happen to a young quarterback- letting it all go to the head.

Meant to say vids, not bids. Stupid autocorrect. Unless Tyler's really big on auction houses.

He meant Bids...Bray put one of his jerseys on ebay and Chuck Norris is bidding on it. Just don't tell the NCAA.

This thread is music to my ears. All i had heard so far was that TB was too laid back and not serious about practice.

I also love the fact that CDD tells it like it is. Praising when praise is deserved and criticizing when necessary.

Lets just hope the O gets on the same page fast because were prolly gonna have to outscore everybody this year. Esp the way our D is falling like flies.

CCD will keep this kid grounded

Lol well look at it this way the last fellow from California that came rolling into to Knoxville running his mouth and talking trash we know how that went. Maybe it's a blessing that Bray is that calm.

Throat slashing yes. Loco I hope they don't stop. It's a team gesture that bonds them and makes them closer to each other and I don't mind it. No different than a gator chomp or fsu and their little gesture. Don't mind all three happening.

I got a little insight on the throat slashing thing. I had the chance to talk to guy that knew Jacques Smith. He was told that things were going on in the piles after the play that the camera never caught. Like spiting and other things. I do believe that the throat slashing had motivation behind it and it was not just Bray being a smart butt about it.

Yeah, his personality is a blessing and a curse. Never gets too high or low but you wonder how dedicated he is. This is definitely a good sign. I was REALLY hoping to hear something this summer that he was putting some major time in on learning the playbook, watching bids, etc. Still hoping to hear some specifics. I guess I'll take what I can get for now.

Doesn't seem silly to me. We've seen a lot of Tennessee teams wax with confidence this time of year and then fall short of expectations. Except for some Vol fans, most expect this team to be middling, because they're so young. But these guys have huge talents in development. If they're really determined and work hard enough, they can take it up a level...and then maybe up some more. They're college kids, so who can say what they'll achieve? I gotta feeling these guys might do it.

I only say that because it could be a penalty and it's known as bad celebration. Personally i don't care about the celebration. People can do it if they want IMO. Wouldn't matter either way.
