Dooley not disappointed in second half AT ALL..

Why can't he find the middle ground between "We're just not a very good football team" and "I'm not disappointed at all..." when the team plays horribly? He's just a lightning rod for alienation.

If he comes out and says the team played bad, we get threads saying he is throwing the players under the bus. It is coach speak.

At the top there is a thread tools drop it down and hit ignore thread if you do not like it. Just because you do not agree does not make it stupid.

While that is true, this particular thread is objectively stupid.

Edit: and I will ignore this thread now that I've pointed out what should have been obvious before.

I interpret it as "I am ok with all but 5-6 mins where we let it fall apart"....Dooley is not an idiot, no way he means what all the haters try and convince people he means....we were down 25 scholarship spots when he took the reigns and it as a 3-4 year rebuilding job that he was initially tasked with. While he has made some bad decisions, (as any coach would), I have seen improvement thus far this season.

Bottom line, it was ONE game, and it is a long season!!! No-one can predict the outcome of the season so we ALL need to support the entire team, coaches included and realize Dooley and the "decision-makers" want us to win as much as us as fans do and will do what it takes to win....

Our rich tradition has spoiled our fan base and many act like little freakin kids when we lose one single game....

I am going to reserve further judgement until the end of the season, as should any rational fan.

This place has become a cackling hen house

No lie. Everybody knows that everybody is mad. No need to act like a bunch of outraged 80 year old women every time a quote comes out.

Although . . . Some of these posts are a lot more entertaining if you read them in the voice of an outraged Aunt Bee.

Exactly.

The quotes and interviews are really irrelevant at this point anyway.

Saban's coaching record in his first few years.

1995 Michigan State 6–5–1 4–3–1 5th L Independence
1996 Michigan State 6–6 5–3 5th L Sun
1997 Michigan State 7–5 4–4 6th L Aloha
1998 Michigan State 6–6 4–4 6th
1999 Michigan State 9–2* 6–2 2nd Invited to Citrus* 9* 9*

Even he had to learn how he wanted to run a program. I bet he had more talent than Dooley also.

Point is that we need to support our head coach. THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS. He is doing things the right way.

Are you favorably comparing Dools with 2 HOF head coaches Saban and Spurrier? The same Dools is going to be in the HOF with them? Seriously?!

Just wow.

Saban and Spurrier both.

I don't think Spurrier helps out your argument. He was 7-3-1 in his second year at Duke and won the ACC in his third year there.

South Carolina had one winning season the three years prior to him being hired there. He went 8-5 in year two there.

The issue, it seems, is that Dooley is still trying to figure out a "winning formula." Unlike Saban, Miles, Spurrier, Richt, etc who can all say "we've done it this way and it has worked" Dooley is not able to say that. This is evident when you look back over the 3 years and all the different things he has done - from switching around practices by having practice on sunday and Monday off, to ridiculing players in the press to now sorta babying them.... Dooley is grasping at straws trying to find something that works, and in doing so he continues to lose credibility that he knows how to right this ship regardless of the talent on the team..

Heard him speak multiple times this week and there is no mistaking his profound disappointment. This looks like a quote clip in a vacuum. Can't believe people people are taking op's bait.

Maybe all the folks that can't write anything that isn't hateful on these forums could switch their "allegiance" to Kentucky or Vanderbilt. Of course, there would be a lot fewer threads...

So the next time you or anyone else complains or writes "hateful" things on a message board about Obama or the politicians in Washington, you can GTFO and go cheer for Mexico..........................
