MSU had the ball 5 times in the 1st half....and scored all 5 times. In the second half, all we had to do was stop them with 3:20ish left on the clock and march down the field score and win. But on multiple occasions, the defense gave up crucial 3rd and longs.
We don't have a pass rusher. We don't have a middle LB that can cover the pass. Our secondary is mostly pathetic. Our only hope is to blitz...alot. But when you do that you live or die by it.
Ironically, our strength as a team - passing is also our weakest spot - passing defense.
Our defense is reminiscent of the 70s and most of the 80s - its porous and predictably bad.
