The Sports Animal just interviewed Shawn somebody from LT and he said Dooley is a young Saban. Said all the doubters will be totally impressed after we see his PC. FWIW, we will all see. Give the guy a chance before trashing someone you know absolutely nothing about.

Didn't a source at Georgia reveal that some of those folks were eyeballing Dooley for UGA? I know someone from Georgia said they'd much rather have him than Muschamp.

Guy has a law degree and a kid named Peyton. Not to mention he had a winning season at LA Tech, I am okay with this hire if it happens. He seems to have the ability and with the recruiting power of UT he will win us some games.

If it's true, I'd say it's because nobody would have ever thought about him until one of the other unproven candidates suggested him to MH.

That gives MH the claim for finding another 'diamond in the rough' if by chance he actually works out for UT. If he doesn't, Hammy just moves on with another search and give somebody else a shot at it.

It's the Bama model. We have to do this enough times until we're ready to pay a proven coach the money the job deserves.

Did Hamilton find his football "Pearl"? at least he has recruiting and SEC experience if this is all true. Hopefully he won't jump ship next year if Richt gets canned. It's a shame that Tennessee can't get any attention from a "big" name coach...do we have cooties or crotch crickets?

Lets look at this from a positive situation at least. Despite a deja vu situation, the losing record, the recruiting coordinator of a NC team, big name, young, motivated, if this is true, then lets hope the contracts negotiated are better than they were in the last couple of years. But come on...he's gotta have SOME sense to name his son Peyton.

I don't care about anyone else's opinion, because you know what they are like anyways....


However I will support Dooley until he gives me a reason not to, as far as Mike Hamilton that is a different story

atleast its not CUT or some throwback, lets get behind him and support our vols....im not crazy about the hire...but what are we gonna do...DOOLEY GO SAVE OUR RECRUITING CLASS NOW!!!!!!!!!

He may end up being greatest coach ever, but I can't help but feel dissapointed.

was the 4th place coach in the WAC unavailable?

Didnt we learn anything about hiring guys based on daddy's resume?

You don't go from Lane Kiffin to Dooley. Muschamp, Calhoun, Cutcliffe and Love Smith all blew you off. So now you're stuck with Dooley. Enjoy those top-40 recruiting classes he brings you.

Not even the hostesses can rescue you. This year represented Jenn Sterger's recruits coming on the scene, and we all know how disappointing FSU was.
