Derek Dooley is not a coach, he is a manager, he lets his assistants do the coaching which is obviously failing, also dooley said in his post game interview that he hopes next year will be better, to me i don't want to hear that from a head coach or any leader of a group. if nothing else and dooley gets the boot let him be the head of the vol for life program he would be great for that. dooley and staff can't motivate these guys to perform.

Or, instead of acting impulsively, let's sit this through and give him a chance to show what he can do with a decent team next year.

fyi i am not saying fire the guy yet, he has next season and must achieve 8 wins and a win against flordia, georgia, and or bama. 0-14 at half when trailing is a telling statistic though a sad one at that.

If he motivates them like he did today it will be more of the same he is on over his head

That is not a micro-manager

A micro-manager doesnt let his subordinates do anything and usually takes over for everything. Micro-managers usually do not show enough trust in anyone else doing the job they see as being able to do better


Dooley is suppose to let them do their job. Thats what he hired them to do

Dooley gets 2 more years. If nothing else, his buyout will ensure the 2 years. This coach & hs staff have more to prove than payers coming back next year IMO. Time will tell.

Dooley doesnt need another hour as Tn coach,its for sure he wont get 2 more years.
