I just red an article in Rocky Top Talk that states our predicament perfectly. We have basically lost 3 recruiting classes. CDD did a great job scoring the recruits he did. 3 year minimum to evaluate his coaching abilities.

IF we win the last 2 games- I will be happy to shut up. If we lose to Ky and Vandy in the same year- after starting 0-6 in the SEC , it wont matter what I think- Mr Orange pants will not get the third year. That is the reality of the world we live in. Dont blame the messenger.

We pay him alot of money to run our football team. I'm sorry but truth is they were an embarassment against Arkansas. Another truth is that losing to Vandy is UNACCEPTABLE.Im not going to let Dooley just put anything out there on the field and blindly accept it.

This sounds like most of Fulmer's last five years.

Oh wait, he was "family", so it was okay.

He'll still be here 2 years from now.

I will be 26 in Dec, and in my lifetime we have never lost to kentucky. That day will truly be ground zero. But my grandpa (deceased kentucky fan) would have the biggest smile up in heaven! so if we lose to vandy, might as well lose to kentucky and complete the worst football season in my lifetime. GO VOLS, and not just for the first half,....both of em. maybe we should play em the pre game fulmer speech of the 98 fla game!!

Dooley is in over his head. We'll have to put up with his antics one more year but then he will probably be gone. A half empty stadium like we are seeing now will dictate that.

It's not hating Dooley, it's loving UT. You BFF's (blind faith fans) don't get it. Your loyalty is to the coach and our loyalty is to the University of Tennessee.
It's really that simple.

so if he shows progress we fire him? in the first 2 years of his own players 7 wins would'nt be enough? you have such unrealistic expectations of these players it is laughable. it takes years of good recruiting and coaching to have the talent to win 9 games. look at fulmers last recruiting year=bust kiffens year=bust. we practically had 2 years of no recruiting and you expect us to be any better than we are especially since 6 of our top 10 players this summer are no longer on the team or are hurt or have been hurt. get real

Yes no one is satisfied with where we're at now as far as win/losses but us REALISTIC people realize that we could be a lot a lot a lot and let me repeat it once more A LOT worse off then where we are now based on what our program has went through.

To me it says A LOT that Dooley has kept our players out of trouble (despite that one little incident at the beginning of the season) all season. He's brought RESPECT back to our program this year and INTEGRITY and that means something. Anyone who discounts the man for that or doesn't give him credit only cares about winning games and should probably be a Gator fan.
