Yep, every Saturday. It's hard to get a bunch of kids that age do what they are supposed to do especially with no senior leaders. Get this though and take it to the bank--DOOLEY has cleaned up the garbage in the program and has brought honor back. You don't hear about UT players getting arrested all the time now do ya?? Where's his thanks for that??

The love for that (or lack there of) is on the scoreboard. Quite lovely too.

I guess no one in TN cares if you do your job well they just want you to be able to talk a smooth game guess that is why the Athletics in TN is going to remain at the bottom of the SEC. DD= No SEC championship appearances and no 10 win seasons. Yall will take anything here in Knoxville. Maybe thats why the school looks like crap the professors are crap and the football team is too. I will retire my volcard until either DD starts to coach better or we get another coach. I dont support half behind work. Yall want to know why student don't go to games cause we hate loosing and we dont accept it and want more. Lane Kiffins teams didnt win everything but they competed their behinds off. O hold on wasn't Kiffin playing with Fulmers players yes he was DD has no excuse at all.

The phrase " Rome wasn't built in a day " has been used way too much.

While I think 80% of threads lately are complete garbage, they have as much right to post their opinion as you do yours.

The phrase also assumes that Rome will be the finished product and not a failing African republic.

Right on Gypsy!! It's amazing all the negative people in this world today. If these negative Nancy's would sit back and look at the facts, I think they would all be thankful we have even won 4 games this season. Thanks Coach Dooley for having the gonads to take over a program that was in shambles when Kiffin left. Give him time and he WILL win here!

My god, we should be thanking Dooley for beating Montana, Cincy, buffalo, and MTSU?

Jesus, I've heard it all. I'm not on either side of the fence, but Jesus.

Being a vols fan and living in Iowa, I have been impressed with Kirk Ferentz has done with Iowa's program. I believe he is one of the top echelon coaches in the country. 15 years at Iowa, multiple bowl wins, including 3 against the SEC. (LSU, Florida and Sth Carolina). He started his coaching at Maine...yes really ! And moved onto the NFL before Iowa. Pretty much similar paths to Dooley. Ferentz was into his 4th season before he got to .500 at Iowa. Imagine if they had cut his throat 2 seasons into his rebuilding of the Iowa program??? Just saying apart from some alterations maybe in his specialist coaches, just give him some time .

Losing to 5 teams that are in this week's Top 14 in the country is nothing to be ashamed of considering what Dooley inherited here. Cincy was a good win, not SEC , but a good win. Take a stud QB and best WR /playmaker off ANY team and they will struggle, just as the Vols have this year. Next season will be totally different.

For god's sake, every time I look on this board now someone has started a new damn thread about reasons to fire him. Rome wasn't built in a day people so get your BVD'S out of a wad.....y'all sound like a bunch of damn Virginia Tech fans whining that your season is over because you lose one game.

TN is going through some hard times right now and it is very hard on the fans also. Whine about that and losing games not about blaming one person for it. I can only imagine how these players feel going out there week after week and losing as well as Dooley keeping his chin up and dealing with all this.

Don't y'all KNOW that he is trying to build this team and probably realizes he only has a certain amount of time to do it? Geez..give the guy a chance people and please..just shut the f*** up. What makes losing a lot harder right now is having fellow fans who carry a damn cry rag all football season. Chin up people!:salute:

If you don't like what you see on those threads then logoff. These diatribes filled with false hope and excuses are much worse than the complaining threads.

I totally agree with the above statement.

So laying down and quitting in the second half of everyone of those games is ok with you? That says plenty about you. After the cincy game most of you homers were predicting that we would beat Georgia, South Carolina and Arkansas and maybe take the east. Then when the team lays down and quits and gets destroyed every week you make excuse after excuse and then throw out a wait til next. You guys are funny.

This team has not quit in a single game up until Arkansas.

Lookie here bubba, if you don't like this thread then you are the one who can log off. There is a theme to this thread and the theme requires input, not negative remarks from someone like you. Furthermore, don't read more into what I'm saying. Of course it's not okay to lay down in the second half of any game but you must realize that at this point our team can only do what it can do--no more no less. Please try to add valuable input if you respond again and stop with the negativity. You sound like an ACC fan when you create drama like that and what does that say about you LOL

I wanna know what the hell goes on in the locker room during halftime. This team is never fired up for the 2nd half of the game. Before you go blaming depth, we haven't scored a single point in the second half in 7 straight games and that includes MTSU. These so called worse depth problems weve ever had crap shouldn't matter against MTSU. Don't you think that's a major problem?

Yes, it's a problem. However, the team did come out well in the 3rd quarter against Arkansas. Stopped them on their first drive. We have issues, never claimed we don't. Anyone with a pulse knows we didn't try to scored in the 2nd half against MTSU. We chose to work on the run game. In 5 of those 7 games you speak of we have been playing a QB who wouldn't play for anyone in this conference right now. You can chose to ignore youth and depth as a reason for our problems if you want to, however that doesn't mean that they aren't the biggest contributing factors to our problems.
