Dooley has lost this team...and I don't blame them.

As bad as I hate to say it, I gotta agree to a point. That was one of the worst performances I have ever seen. The D played their tail off in the first half and then couldnt get off the field in the second. The Oline just doesnt get any push at all. QB play is at about the 8th grade level. Play calling is HORRIBLE. Dont know what else to say, but this was a Hard Game to watch. Only question is, do they get rid of Dooley and try and shell out Millions to some big name coach? What if nobody wants to come and take over the challenge of bringing UT back to Prominence? Who would be atop your list?

I'm so glad you said this. I bet nobody will bash you either.

It means they are not believing in his leadership. You see it every game. When the 2nd half starts and we give up a scoring drive they just DO NOT respond. They do not play above themselves and find a way to OVERACHIEVE!

They do not respond?????????????

Did you watch the game tonight? They got two turnovers in the 2nd half and allowed one touchdown.
Are you suggesting that players quit?
I am not trying to argue that Dooley is the answer, but I do not understand the idea that he has lost the team.

They ain't buying what he's selling anymore and frankly I don't blame them. He freely ridicules specific players and cannot seem to find a way to coach these players to play intelligently. Too many bad plays, poor penalties, ZERO ability to come out in the 2nd half with a plan and energy.

I was initially very optimistic about him and this staff, but we are not a well coached team. We can be young, hurt, and not very talented, but there are teams with much less doing MUCH more.

At this point, I think he is rebuilding for our next coach. We got what we paid for...La Tech's coach.

Agree 1000 percent. I am sure he's working on his stand up routine for the Monday presser, or some shot he can take at a player. Vandy is a perfect example of a team with less doing more. Tired of excuses. I can handle losing, but not losing like this, too many breaks tonight to not have more than 3 on the board. I have loved Dooley but his act has worn thin. I don't want another coaching change but I feel it is inevitable. This isn't about depth or injuries in my opinion. This game was winnable, very winnable. What I see is a team that doesn't play for it's coaches. I see an emotional coach whose teams respond accordingly. Dooley even said as much after Hunter went down at Florida. I believe he is in over his head and makes emotional decisions that don't give his team best chance to win. There is no way I accept the depth excuse for performances like these. This is bigger than depth, it's about preparation and motivation. I haven't seen either. I see a nice guy who is funny but just not qualified for this job. Go ahead and blast me...

Defense is buying it.

Offense is off.

That being said... something needs to happen or, as other people have mentioned, Hart will pull the trigger... which may not be good.

What game did you watch? The let USC run the ball down their throats with no threat of a pass. They made thier QB look like Vince Young. Wilcox has spent his time at Boise trying to trick his opponents because they didnt have the talent. That works only so long. People know his games and we are constantly out of position and fail to make plays. We are a joke

I've lost about 3 1/2 hours that I'll never get back. I'm really tired of watching the defense play well enough to win only to see an unimaginative, uninspiring, boring, pathetic offensive game plan. These guys seem to be in way over their heads at every level. Makes you wish for the days of cutciiff, chavis, Rick clausen and mayo. Not sure I can continue to watch this product. Thank goodness for mercy.

Of all people, I figured you would understand in the position you are in, that stuff doesnt always go as you plan.

Who is more likely to make a mistake on the street, a veteran officer or a rookie?

Well, I know what the answer is and we have a whole team full of rookies.

I say if Dooley can't get it done next season to go after Paul Johnson and pay the man what he wants...Let him bring that exciting option offense to Big Orange country and watch it begin its domination.

But I think it's a difference story if Bray and Hunter are still playing. We win some of these games. IMO anyway.

I agree we beat Florida, Georgia, and SC with Bray and Hunter no doubt in my mind. D played very good. Worley not ready at all thats why he needed redshirt but Dooley out of options.

Dont care if anyone Bashes me. Im not bashing Dooley, just think that maybe hes in over his head alittle. With the lack of talent, injuries and taking over a MAJOR program, you need to be at least SOUND in aspects of the game. That way if you lose, you lost because the other team was just better. SC was not better tonight. We beat ourselves. And it seems we do that ALOT. False Starts, Penalties, Picks, mistackles, Mistake after Mistake, every game. And I know that the team is mostly Fresh and sophs, but damn at least get them prepared not to make mistake after mistake. WE LOOKED TERRIBLE. I will go out on a limb and say, if we dont fix the fundementaly SOUND, we may not win another game.

I will also say, that I was one of the main ones on here rooting for the guys. Especially Harry, but the Oline is not Improving. The entire Team is Suffering though.

Wouldn't care less if he was fired tomorrow. We couldn;t do worse with no coaches.

Lets make the SEC expansion easy and just resign to join division 2.

We might compet there.

Everyone know T is the laughing stock of all college football.

Carson Newman would tear us a new one.

Cuz it's beaten SEC teams like bama and LSU!?! Their defense would crush the option ! Watch GT anytime a defense has a week to prepare they get beat! Anytime they play a good defense they get beat! No WRs would come here! That would just suck all the way around

Like so many Vols, I have been willing to fully support Coach Dickey and the staff - but tonight's game was the worst coached game I have witnessed in over 40 years of being a fan. I can look away from youthful mistakes, and realize there are times when you make risky moves. But an " average" coaching staff would have won this game. Spurrier has to be laughng that we hired a group with less guts and smarts than Fulmer's worst year. I can't imagine anyone who has ever coached any sport making worse decisions time and time again. Let's pay them off, and hire a new group. And for those of you who say "who will we hire?", I would say after tomight we could do better by picking at random fromt the phonebook!

Rogers drops a TD and P Swag gets tackled at the 3 by a freaking lineman. 14 points that would have changed the outcome and you morons think our coach has lost the team...brilliant.
