I'm not saying he is a great coach, because as of now, we haven't seen anything that is great from the man.
BUT, just because he had a losing season doesn't mean it is the end of the world and he should be fired.

Paul Bear Bryant went 1-9 while coaching at TAMU, a year later, he turned it into a 7-2 team, a year after that, 9-0.
Bobby Bowden went 5-7 his first year at Florida state.

My point, just give him a chance people, this win NOW mentality is killing us. If we keep it up, we will never be back to greatness.

Next season it will be Dooley's players on the field. That will be his make or break year.

Next year we will say he just needs more time. Wait until next year. We are about to get there. Personally, I don't have many years to wait, I am 65 years old. Would like to see another NC before I bite the dust !!!!

Then you should want Dooley to succeed. Another coaching change will only set us back further.

Notice how year 2 typically tends to be better than year 1 for great coaches?

Its clear we dont have a great coach. The question really is how long do we keep a coach that is not great. Or does TN even deserve a great coach. A great coach would not be staring at 2 back to back losing seasons nor have lost to a horrible KY team.

Your right about year 2. But I don't believe they took over teams with so few seniors, and juniors. Look at Dooley's first year he had several excellent seniors providing leadership. This year he did not. Year 3 is really year 2 for Dooley. So next year significant improvement must be shown.

He's had time. Two years worth. Franklin took a bad Vandy team and made it a decent one that shows every sign of being actually good next season. If eight wins is the standard by which Dooley will either keep or lose his job then Hart better be getting his ducks in a row right now. Hopefully he's already been on the case.

He has a lot of seniors. He may not have such a good team next year.

is they both had and have the male member. Other than that Dooley the fool can't stand on the field that is called football.

Boy the haters are out in force...all I know is this will play out. We'll have some fidelity after 2012/2013...then we can afford to make a move if necessary. It’s hard to pay concurrent mega-buyouts for Fulmer/Dooley + and have enough money to bring in a big fish.

Of course who would want a job with an administration/fan base with zero patience? This ready to punt on second down is simply mindless.
