Dooley for 2 more years !!!

I'm with Dooley. If anything, he has led my Vol program with pride and respectability. We might not have the championships or wins yet, but at least we do possess one hell of a VFL program that prepares these young men for life. To me, that's one of the main reasons I've sided with Dooley.

Now, about coaching......

then maybe he can keep leading the VFL program and we can get a coach in here that can win some ball games.

Tired of all the Negas getting the Spotlight. So I started a Positive Dooley thread.

I think he gets 2 more years to purge the program and create stability. He's smart, well spoken, and a Helluva motivator ! Also he has proven to be an excellent recruiter and manager of our team, leading with discipline and character.

Discuss if you like.

HELL OF A RECRUITER KICKER RUNNING BACKS LINEBACKERS I CAN GO ON.:eek:lol:

I was thinking the same thing.

Record could be better because of LSU game 2yrs ago & NC game in MCB plus Kentucky game last yr. Having said that, any coach especially with what he inherited from the guy not to be named, the team is getting better. Everyone please realize that there are only 4 players on the team from that guys recruiting class of 23. We are missing 19 players from a class that was ranked in the top 5 in the country. Hell one of them is on TV tonight wearing an Eagles jersey playing running back that should be on the team! Really had a good chance to be 6-0 right now with a few bounces and be in the top 10. Any coach who is showing improvement should always get 5 yrs. We will win 5 of 6 finish 9-3 which is what I predicted at the beginning of the season. Outback Bowl & kill a Big 10 team finish 10-3! We've got 3 more very winnable games on the schedule with Troy, Vandy & Kentucky and I think we beat Miss St. & USC east!

Not to mention very little issues with the program with kids getting in trouble!!

As much as you hate it Dooley will be around for atleast another year.

He wouldn't have gotten Sal or any of the coaches he brought on if there wasn't a guarantee that Dooley would be around for a while.

How else do you get this Team to compete the way they have against Top 5 programs the last 3 years. Nobody has faced more Top 10 Teams in the last 3 years than TN.

Another morale victory! Everyone cheer!

The reason Sunseri came here was the chance to be a def coord and the huge pay raise. I'm sure their was no guarantee that Dooley would be here in 2013.

People said the same thing about Fulmer and Clawson in 2008. Just for the record.

Dude, if morale victories could get you in a bowl game, Dooley would have us in the Super Bowl of Compassion.

I think Sunseri got at least a two-year contract. That, coupled with the new responsibilities and pay incrrease made it attractive enough to come to UT.

Does anyone know if the 2 year contracts for the assistants have any mitigation for the amount we would owe them with what they would be paid if they got another job?

I've been on this board for a couple of years and there have been a couple of good posters thru the year. I decided to give an "honest" view of our team. Here we go:

Bray--- good qb with a great arm but never checks down and he throws the ball too hard sometimes. He missed Hunter across the middle twice early which could have gone for a TD.

CP-- very raw but talented and still doesn't know the plays. Several times he never adjusted his route as well as Hunter.

Hunter. Great athlete playing WR. Doesn't adjust his routes or read coverages very well.

Rivera-- good SEC TE but has no help. Losing Clear killed our depth.

OL-- all 5 will play on Sundays.

Neal-- he's a great athlete who is learning to play RB. I'm very impressed with his improvement. Once he learns to pick up his feet, he'll break a couple this year.

Chaney-- I think he called a good game for the first time in a while. He didn't give up on the run game like he normally does.

I'll hang up and listen. Thanks

You should post more.
Which island?

With all respect, the VFL program has a much larger impact in the players lives than a gold ring. I understand you want championships and wins, so do I, but at least we don't have a coach that cheats or deceives in order to. He has the best interests of his players at heart. Gain some perspective.

You obviously do not keep up with Tennessee football too much so let me help you out here real quick...Ahem...The reason the OTHER coaches left was because they felt they had no job security with Dooley as head coach...They even said his situation is unstable and they too could be out of a job if things didn't get better...Pretty easy to figure out...Glad I could help you out there

i agree.this is football, there are no guarantees

Yeah, Dooley is a great motivator, he gets the most out of his players and they never quit! Will Hart give him 5 more years to continue his great body of work? One day the Vols will be back among the top SEC teams...one Day! It's just so painful waiting for that Day..but it will happen..ONE DAY!

What ever is done they better hope it doesn't affect the recruit class. Cause there are rumbles that recruits are worried about the stability at UT.
