Thinking when Dez Bryant gets gone, Jerry will run his personal lawyer/minder off as well.

Wonder why Saban doesent ever rehire any of his assts that fail elsewhere ?
They only work for him long enough to pad their resume. Did you ever read about his Mich. State staff who all refused to follow him to LSU?
He offered them all jobs and chartered a plane to pick them up in Michigan to make the trip to Baton Rouge. They all refused to get on the plane. This was before he was famous, and they had suffered enough. He is universally hated as a boss.

Someone bring charges against Hamilton. There has to be something to go after him for. Gross incompetence / negligence...something. What a fool.

Small minority?

Yes. I didn't say "people unhappy with Jones" or "people who think he will be fired at some point". I'm narrowing it down to people who want him fired NOW, like right this minute.

And yes, it's a very small minority. There are a surprising number of fans pushing back on such nonsense.

Seriously...have you been reading the board?

Maybe the small minority is just really vocal...but it's only a few and they don't seem to be our "brightest and best" if you know what I mean. :eek:lol:

But somehow his winning personality charms no. 1 recruiting class after no. 1 recruiting class to bammer.

I wonder what the key is?????

The best recruits know they will win a NC at Bama and more importantly will have guaranteed exposure to the NFL.

Riggghhhhht. And I have some wonderful swampland in Florida you should buy.

It's all mathematical. Other programs have been where bammer is now. Miami in the late 80s/early 90s, Nebraska later the same decade, USC when Carroll was there, and you could argue Urban almost did it at Florida until Saban came along.

None of them even came close to bammer's success. It's statistically unlikely...like the online poker guy that won 99% of his hands...and guess what? He was cheating!

True. He is the best vehicle to take the assistants and the players to where they want to go.

Other leading experts such as Gomer Pyle, Jethro, and Goober agree with you.

In fact, I have a quote from Gomer: "Garsh amighty...I just know that Saban feller ain't cheatin'. I mean, he's just such a nice feller an' all".

Meanwhile, Andy is shaking his head and sighing. :p

Actually he re-hired bobby williams after Michigan State fired him...then last off season or the year before he moved bobby to an off the field role so he could bring in Cristobal to coach on the field

"If a school fires a coach without cause, it must pay any buyout negotiated in the initial contract."

How is "you're failing to do your job as a head coach" not "cause"?

Even tho the buck stops a Butch, there are still important factors that he can't control. He can have tremendous input and impact to how things go, but still so many non-controllable factors that impact the outcome of the game.

The worst quote of the year was when Shoop said he was hired to beat Florida( I hope he knows he was hired to beat them every year and not just 2016). I would put this year's Florida win against about any regular season win, I was at the Miracle and the 5OT win vs bama, but to just beat Florida obviously is not enough. Florida is a stepping stone for what we all want and that's a NC.

So a coach can do his job and still not win every game. We have been conditioned that it's an embarrassment to lose to Vandy, I'm glad we feel that way and to think Neyland was hired to beat Vandy.

We need to hire a Co-OC and tell him his job is to beat bama.

Go Vols!

Beat Nebraska!
