Dooley discussed buyout?

If this is true imagine what this is going to do to this team for the remainder of the season and the incoming recruits. This looks like it's going to get messy.

Honestly, IF this is true, F him. IF this is true, Hart should have canned his ass on the spot. Some people would trade their first-born child for a crack at leading their beloved Vols. IF this is true, then **** Derek Dooley.

If Dooley says it's a bogus report I believe him. Anyone can claim a "source" said anything. And in this day and age of idiot "fans" and trolls, i only believe it from the horse's mouth. One thing Dooley is NOT is a liar. Not worth talking about.

If Dooley is fired, and the right coach is hired, recruiting will not be a problem. Keeping Dooley without an extension - that would make recruiting very messy.

I've supported Dooley as much if not more than anyone but in his presser today he sounded pretty shaky answering the question about it. Didn't sound to good to me.

Hmmm... I would not sacrifice either my firstborn, nor my second-born for the chance to lead our beloved Vols.

However, give me 200,000 per year with an expense account for recruiting, etc... and let me get Cutliffe as DC and assistant HC for 2 million, a great OC for 2 million, and the rest of the assistants at 300K - 750K... and I would be glad to lead the VOLS over a five year contract... and I do not believe (with the right OC, DC, and assistants) I would do any worse than this years mess. Who knows, I might even surprise myself.

Anyone that would hire CDC, an offensive minded coach, as DC would be laughed at during interview. Just saying.

I think the story that Dooley told about his high school coach that was completely irrelevant to what the article said he did proves he honestly had no clue what they were talking about. He took the question and rumor as that he handed in his resignation in to be noble and offer them a way out if no one wanted him anymore. The actual rumor makes him look like a coward wanting to run away from his failure with the money. It's just BS.

And of course he was flustered. Who actually likes to have the fact that everyone thinks they're failing thrown in their face? He might not read the media, but he sure as heck knows he's not the most loved man in Knoxville (that and he received those AWFUL calls. Shameful.). Hence the "I'd be a dumb***" statement. He's not stupid folks.

so we are going off the word of three unnamed sources? none of the three is willing to put their name out there? and we are buying this hook line and sinker? gotta love volnation.

Yep, Hart didn't want to pay Dooley his 5mil so we could pay Dooley's buyout plus the buyouts of seven new assistants this year....brilliant strategy.

LWS probably has the most accurate description of what actually went down. Yet, the mob would rather buy into three unnamed "sources" because it helps with justifiying the emotions.

If any shred of this is true, why are we just hearing about it now and not back in the wake of the Kentucky fiasco...or all of our assistants bailing on us...or when we lost to Florida in embarassing fashion...

This is just garbage being spewed by a nobody in the midst of the Dooley hate. Dooley provides enough ammo against himself. You dont' need to fabriacte things.

Dooley is an: Attorney...Attorney....Attorney....Attorney....Attorney....Attorney.....Attorney.....Attorney...Attorney.....Attorney.....Attorney

This explains EVERYTHING!

did he draft his own buyout contract, filled with a lot of legalese and fine print?
