This was one of his many tactical errors in this game. I am on my way home from Neyland and was just wondering if anyone had any insight into this seemingly bonehead decision?

Let's review.

The north end zone was fuller and louder

The kickers were also kicking into the wind and UABs kicler was 0-5.

How is that a bad decision?

I was watching from the comfort of my living room, so I do not know which section had the rowdy fans or how the wind blew. That endzone is the only area in the stadium with an audible number of visiting fans, IIRC. I do not remember us ever choosing it before, either.

I was in the north endzone today, it was not loud at all compared to the other end. I've never seen a Tennessee coach choose to play on that end since overtime was introduced.

He correctly chose to play on that end I think because there were more fans and it was louder on that end. Our student section wasn't much to write home about today.

It was such a tactical error that we won. What are some of the other "many" that you speak of? :eek:lol:

Ignoring the fact that a mid-pack CUSA team just outgained us 2 to 1 and scored 16 unanswered points to nearly win a half-time walk-over, I thought the end of regulation was botched.

I know you weren't asking me, but that's one.

Well, for one, I thought calling a play with a seven step drop that took 48 seconds to develop with a shaky quarterback that had taken, what, 5 sacks, while in long FG range with a kicker that had just made one from 47 was odd.

Our students today were much like our young frontrunner fans on VN, as in... They suck, it's not my fault and I am not drinking koolaid...you can't make me... get back to me later and I might get interested sometime. Fire everybody. I win.

And that was Dooleys call? Interesting.

So, you think they told him to hold the ball as long as possible and disregard the clock, cotton?
