When approached today reagrading the 10,000 posts on VN calling for Gruden to take over at UT....Chucky had this to say.

What you all are hearing is true.......I have property in Seiver County, and plan to build a t-shirt stand there and will sell beef jerky and pipe dreams. Secondly, as you know I have the greatest job in the world...doing commentary for the NFL...hell, I make 50 grand every Sunday and I can say anything I want.

So...VN, stop your bickering, and get behind Coach Dooley, he's a great man and coach, he has inherited a bottom feeding program. UT will rise like a Pheonix....give Coach Dooley a chance. Hell, the way you all act, I would never consider taking over that job...grow a pair folks.

should have beat georgia and fla to and thats why its easy to see improvement when was the last time a vols fan could say these things

meeting or no meeting, If they ever wear black or do anything to our traditional uni's I will never watch, n I have been watching for many moons. DO NOT MESS WITH THE SCHOOL COLORS, THEY ARE OURS AND WE ARE PROUD TO BE BIG ORANGE, NOT A YARD SALE OF UNIS OR COLORS. LIKE SC LAST NIGHT. THEY BIT BIG TIME.

I'm not one of 'em.... There are a very few posters here whose opinion on the state of Volnation (the programs as a whole, not the site...) i respect and you are one of them. I don't necessarily always agree with you (if I did, one of us would be redundant!!) but you've always been a fairly level headed voice of reason. That being said, i really believe Dooley's time at UT has come and gone. He was exactly what we needed in the aftermath of Kiffin's departure but he hasn't gotten the main part of his job nailed down and that's to win games. I love his character and the fact that he stabilized a fractured prigram but the bottom line is that he is 0-20 against ranked opponents. He has yet to win an SEC game outside of the state. He has yet to beat an SEC opponent not named Kentucky, Vanderbilt or Ole Miss. He has yet to beat UGA, Florida or Alabama.... You'd think in three years time he'd get SOMETHING significant accomplished wins-wise but here we are... Another road loss to a ranked team. A completely disillusioned fanbase and wirst of all, there is actually talk (albeit among fans, but it is still being talked about...) if the so-called "nuclear (or fir you GW Bush fans noo-cyoo-ler) option" of bringing Fulmer back. If that isn't the very definition of insanity I don't know what is, other than maybe extending the fiasco we ate currently mired in....

everyone said florida was garbage after they beat us we said they were not so bad they are in the top 5 now i think we are a good measuring stick now

Go back and look at any thread or post I have ever made. I have never posted any rumor or passed off any opinion as fact, nor did I here. It's not a load of crap that I HAVE RECEIVED THESE TEXTS Again, I am NOT drawing any conclusion to there meaning. If there is anything to this someone on Volnation will be able to confirm what the meeting is about. I have never said I have "Inside info", only that one of the texts came from someone working in the ticket office. If you want to make something of that then that is on YOU. I am only posting this to pass on what I have heard and also so hopefully someone on the inside will confirm or deny what I am hearing. I have received these texts, what that means, who the hell knows but don't make out that I am "Feeding you a line of crap" like I just made this up. I didnt and your are feeding everyone else a "line of crap" if you presume to call me a liar. For all I know it's about the orange pants, I have said this. But I have recieved this info.

True...these people who actually think that we have a chance to beat bama...are delusional. Their rb's will have a field day with our D. I doubt I will be able to stomach that game.

the meeting is happening and Dave Hart is clearly laying out the plan on what dooley needs to do to retain his job and if he cant he will be fired.


jk, i have no clue, i just hope it reads breaking news dooley fired, chucky hired
