Called in to the principals office to be punished for egging Brays apartment last night. He was caught because witnesses saw a fat man and a man on crutches fleeing the scene ....

Mr Beef, I have no beef with you at all. However, I cannot understand the interest in "big time coach" that is evident everywhere. It has NEVER worked at UT. The winning coaches have all been developed in their first major head coaching role. Neyland was an assistant. Fulmer was an assistant. Dickey was an assistant. Bowden Wyatt and Johnny Majors were "proven big time coaches" that achieved, at best, moderate success at UT.

Um, I'm pretty sure you haven't seen me telling people they should support the coaches. What you do is your business.

I will say I am supporting Tennessee football. That will never ever change. I'll be pissed off til about Wednesday, and then I'll start getting geared up for the ass whoopin' we're gonna give bama in Neyland Stadium Saturday, starting at 7pm (I can say that cause I'm just a fan.)

You know what a really stable program is?

Kentucky. They have steadily sucked for the majority of our lives.

So here's my sarcastic comment:

"Rebuilding was terrible, I would never go through that again. We should strive to keep these losses respectable and stay the course. Winning is for punks".

This. Before uga and msu, it was "they haven't played anyone. Vols win by 14." Then we lose and those same teams are regarded among the nations elite. Funny stuff.

That's not just a UT thing. Bringing in up and coming asst used to be the way College football went. Robbing coaches used to not happen much. It's a different world now. If you look at how long Majors the Fulmer coached at UT and then look at how the landscape of College ball changed it's dramatic. Also the good ol boy mindset is no longer in the Ath Dept.
