Dooley bans mom from Finebaum

"Joke of the South" (aka: Finbaum) says Dooley won't let his mom be a guest on his show anymore because it is "hurting recruiting". Don't know if the reason is true or not but apparently Mrs. Dooley, indeed, will not be on the show this season. I say good for her!!! :salute:

Ooops! Guess I need to look a liitle closer before starting a thread.

Per Finebaum: "Derek Dooley bans his mother from doing Finebaum Show this season. Saying her appearances hurt recruiting."

Hopefully Dooley's pimp hand is stronger this time. I thought he banned her from all speaking appearances like a week or two after getting the job.

I for one love hearing her cackling like a hen on the view.

I'm no Finebaum fan, to be sure, but this is going too far...

Eh, he really provides nothing to society, if anything he actually perpetuates the violence and criminal activity in Alabama for personal gain. Without him, Auburn's trees wouldn't be dying
and someone wouldn't have attempted to maim Trent Richardson via vehicular assault.

Waiting on rebuttal of what positives he
provides...

This is how bad it is:
A guy that works for the UAB hospital called in one time and said several years ago that someone came in and reported a bang from a truck in the parking lot. When they went out the investigate they realized the guy in the truck had committed suicide. So they called the police and when the officier opened the truck door he said the Finebaum show was on.

Not being a big sports radio guy, I read all the negative comments about Finebaum on here, but I'd never heard him. I assumed that people didn't like him because he likes Alabama, and so forth.

Having taken a long trip Friday and returned today, I had the opportunity to hear his show. My impressions:

He comes across as an arrogant prick who doesn't (at least he didn't in either of the shows I heard) provide any useful information, and whose callers serve to make the show even more boring. Many called in and kissed his arse while he was a complete schmuck to them. I have no idea why his show is popular.

His show is popular because his audience is a bunch of Harvey Updykes. The amount of stupidity in that state is unrivaled.

Was she the one who disclosed this or was Vince?:

Barbara, who happens to be the wife of Georgia Hall of Fame coach Vince, once answered the door for her husband wearing nothing at all. "Play me or trade me, Coach," she said.

Can you believe he's a Tennessee alumnus?

One of the callers today said something to the effect of "I know you're a UT graduate and you're not a big fan of UT" ... I thought he misspoke and meant to say "Alabama graduate."

That doesn't surprise me at all...

Still don't understand how Finebaum gets a show on XM that is basically a Bama Show. Nothing, absolutely nothing is objective on that show.
