Where is the 'two years minimum' choice? Oh I see, you were trying to make sure that it looked like everyone wants him gone by next year, at the longest.

That's a pure troll poll.

veryone believes he is coaching on borrowed time. We just have to grin and bear it for another 9 months or so.

Actually only you and a few other trolls think so. Most of Volunteer nation is behind our program.

You are not.

Dooley's entering his 3rd season as head coach. I say that if the team hasn't made any kind of progress from the 1st year, he should be let go. In this case, improvement isn't going to mean 6-6, it means 7-9 wins.

I think that's a reasonable enough idea.

I, too, am expecting a big jump in progress this year. While I don't think he should be fired if he only gets 8 wins (including bowl), I believe it is reasonable to assume that he will be.

He needs 8 regular season wins to stave off the hounds. I think he will get 9. Our team should be pretty effective in 2012.

You might not like it, but his post represents what thousands of rational Vol fans are currently feeling, myself included. Dooley needs to go out and prove us wrong, us "negavols" owe him nothing. He's the one getting paid a damn good salary to right this ship. So...do it! Or at least show some progress of doing it. If he can't, then he needs to gtfo. Therefore, 2012 is a make or break year for Dooley in many people's eyes. And his track record up to this point doesn't exactly inspire confidence. What is so hard to understand about that?

Dooley approval level is at orange

Recent intelligence reports, corroborated through multiple intelligence sources, suggest an increased likelihood that the Derek Dooley terrorist network may attempt to attack negavols in the United States or abroad. Based upon specific information analyzed by the intelligence community (VN & TOS), and after conferring with Dave Hart , the decision has been made to increase the Vol national approval level from yellow, or "elevated risk," to orange, or "high risk."

To set up an approval raiting among the fans you should ask if we approve of how he is conducting his job. You ask point blank if he should be fired. I don't think he needs to be fired at this point. On the surface, we do not like how he done his job. Obviously we see big cracks in the armour. You sense something is broken but we do not get to see the 'inside' and we must speculate which leads to wrong conclusions and opinions. We really don't know what is going on inside the staff.

He deserves the one more year but i agree he should never been hired and surely doesn't deserve the 5 mil he will get after next year. When you go shopping in the middle and hope you hit a home run by paying more than they deserve see what we got. Thanks Hamilton. In the history of any D1 school has anybody ever had this many coaches leave? All the positive thoughts can't change the fact we have a situation with an over bearing control freak unless that changes he is toast and all we can hope for is Hart makes the great hire not the hopeful one.Anyone that thinks we have much influence on a blog or some random website .I have over 40 years watching the rise and fall of the Vols.I will tell you negativity by fans has never won or lost a game. But for those positive thinkers who like being the second worst team in the SEC please take those thoughts and your intellectual wisdom and go pull for Vandy. We deserve better and demand it.My hope is DD will pull a rabbit out of the hat but to this point he hasn't shown that this is possible. We lost 2 games 2010 that are still tough to swallow that being LSU and No. Carolina. And follow it up with whatever you want to call the KY game in 2011.Go Vols

He should have never been hired in the first place, but he needs another year

Yep I can agree with this...shouldn't have hired him to begin with BUT since we did...he needs one more year.

If he doesnt' win at least 8 games in 2012...OUT OF HERE !!

You seem to use the term "troll" rather loosely. It appears to me that you are the one "trolling" if anyone is
