Dooley and Muschamp on CFL.

So the people on here say Dooley shouldn't be judged till year 3, yet judge Muschamp after one year? Not to mention a complete overhaul on offense.

He had a team loaded with 4-5 star players..Dooley had Austin Johnson as his starting middle linebacker and Matt Simms...I think there is a difference

Not only that but this coming season is only year 2 for DD in the mind of many on this site. They turn a blind eye to everything about him. You can't judge DD until year 3 (which means year 4 actually) and you can't judge hime by his record. So in the eyes of the chin wipers DD is not to be judged.

Is Chin wiper your new word now? Sunshine Pumpers got old?

That's what makes that LSU loss so terrible. Signature win with a bunch of scrubs on the road @ a national power, and we blew it.

Sorry to inform you that the facts are Dooley has a horrible stat line. That being said , I still have high hopes for him starting this year.

Stat line? Playing Freshmen and Sophs against Juniors and 5th year Seniors? If you want facts, there they are.

How can you say that off one year? UF had under 60 scholarship players if I remember correctly and had to switch from a spread offense to a pro style.

No one has seen Muschamp with a roster full of his players or even any of his players. The type of skill set the offense had did not mix with the defense at all, thats not Muschamp's fault

They had 73 scholarship players. How do you reduce that by 13 or more players? Now, because of injuries, they may have had fewer than 60 available at time (though even that seems far-fetched). Those are the same type of numbers that Dooley was dealing with. The cupboard wasn't bare in Gainesville. You can argue that the system change was a problem, but there certainly wasn't a lack of talent. As for there being no one with the skill set for Weis's offense, Brantley should have been an ideal fit. He just got hurt and still struggled with consistency. Quit acting like Florida's roster was decimated; that simply isn't the case.

cold hard facts....... dooleys win/ loss record speaks for itself. There are no asterisks that say joe blow got hurt, or joe blow was only a freshman. It is what it is, he needs to start a trend of winning this year.

Neither if I had to make a hire based on the head coaching they have done so far. But if I had to choose I hate to say it but to be honest Muschamp. DD has done nothing in his career to make me think he is major school head coach material. At least Muschamp is just starting.

I can't really blame you for that selection, but the context of both careers would give you a more accurate idea of who is better.
Next fall will give us the answer for sure.:hi:

I love Dooley. Yeah I was disappointed with last year's season. All of the injuries really sucked and showed everyone how young and lacking in depth we were. It made me sick to lose to Kentucky. I threw up a little just typing that, but I think Dooley is the man for the job and is taking this team in the right direction. After Fulmer and Kiffen, Tennessee was at rock bottom and it isn't easy to rebuild in the SEC, and I don't see how anyone could have done a better job than Dooley has done with what he has had to work with.

how much longer will UF give muschamp if he loses 5-6 games again??? Meyer won the national title in his second year at uf.
