Did anyone else notice Donte Stallworth introduced himself on MNF and named his High School and not the Vols when saying where he played?

Thanks Donte for showing your thanks to the School that gave you the chance to be in the NFL!!!

Oh come on, it's not like everywhere I go and everything I do, I accompany with, "University of Tennessee School of Business." He can do what he wants, and he has probably given more back to this school than most UT alum (donations, influence of recruits, was a key figure in three bowl teams (i.e. millions of dollars.))

Players do that stuff all the time on those intros.

I understand that they do. What chaps me is that the School's that give those guys the chance to play at that level and GAVE them free school, deserve to be identified as their Alma Mater. There is a pride that goes with where you are from and who you are. If a man can't recognize what and where he or she came from they show no pride at all. Go ask a Dale Jones, or a Chris White, or Peyton and if we could a Reggie White and there are others, and to the man they would tell you how proud they were to have played for the Vols. I never played Football at UT but I did play Baseball for the Vols and every chance I get I am proud to announce I was and am a VOL. We talk on this board everyday about players who want to play for UT and the “Orange” so heck yes I’ll applauded any player who shows he is proud of being a VOL, and join him as a part of a very proud family, and alumnus.

Thank You Tennessee and thank you Coach Wright.

No It' isn't. I have heard them do it before. I have been watching MNF longer than most of the posters on here have been alive. It's the first time I have heard a former Vol do it.
I don't give a rat about the others.

I know for a fact I've heard Charlie Garner and several others refer to it as "University of the Untouchables".

Yeah, players change it up all the time on MNF. I remember a player last year announcing the peewee team that he played for. ( I think it was Vinnie Testaverde who did it.) But anyways, he'll prolly come back to us next time. :peace2:

I was under the impression you say what school you graduated from. He left UT early. I would hope that is the case.

That's one of the things I look forward to most on MNF... where those guys will say they're from.

Joe Horn said "Canadian Football League" tonight.

I don't remember who it was, but someone gave their pre-school.
