:groupwave:Hey saw where someone said "there's goes our recruiting class after losing to Vandy" and "our class is going to fall out of the top 20." Relax it's going to be alright. I've read the tweets and other messages from alot of the guys and they are all vol. That was true right after the game and true 2 and 3 days later. These guys are posting pics of their smart phones with countdowns as to how many days till they arrive on campus. They are posting tweets to each other about how Tenn. won't lose to Vandy anymore. One said how he hated Vandy. They are talking about the future, how its going to change, how it'll be better, or how much they cant wait to get here. We even have guys continuing to commit before they leave town on OV. NO ONE seems to be jumping off if anything they are more committed than ever. Now Butch and staff will have to keep up the hard work,"be vigilant", and do "their due diligence" LOL But it's ok and he will get it done.So far he has proven himself in recruiting to be top notch so have some faith.

That is because most of our 17 - 18 yo commits are more intelligent / optimistic than half the posters on here!

The Program has Already Turned around...... despite the loss to Vandy. Vols fought hard and the defense is much improved. Coaches did play it too safe on their calls with Dobbs in there and those interceptions did nothing for his confidence. Overall not as good as we wanted but a better team than last year. In bUTch we trust.

I would say more like three quarters of the posters on here. I hope none of them come on VN and read the utter trash that's been posted lately. I have full confidence in Butch and this recruiting class.

I really don't expect to lose players because of our year one record. These are good enough players to know the players we have now are not good players. The commits I think we will lose are those who think enough better players are being recruited at their positions to threaten early playing time. A lot of bodies my be accumulating at some positions.

Or you could have just posted in the threads you mentioned that you did not agree and reasons why.

With 95% of the people on here posting in those threads the reasons why they felt the class would hold together and be fine, not sure a thread saying the same thing was needed.

Now that the OP has been able to confirmed through tweets and pictures that the recruiting class is staying together I can get ready for Thanksgiving without worrying about recruits. Thank goodness for twitter.

Our recruits are smart enough to know that they are committed to one of the Top 10 programs in the country that is down right now. If you want to play big time D1 football & play all 4 years, they know this is a can't miss place. We not only have good athletes coming in, they have book smarts AND common sense.

I think it all reflects on the work put in not only from our staff but from Vic, TKJr, and Hurd. They not only bought into CBJ, they showed the other recruits so much attention via socialmedia. Kids became interested again. And even though we couldn't compete at a high level this year, no one wants to jump ship. So give them boys credit. And possibly Marketing Majors.

Some of you guys need to lighten up. So what a new thread got created? Threads like this typically get just a few posts and then disappear into the background. I would rather see a positive take on the situation than the bridge-jumping threads you guys are talking about.

With the EEs, we will know sooner than later how the class stacks up. Right now, I think we could sign 45 guys who can play SEC football if we had the room.

I put this thread up not to take up space or give everyone a target to throw sarcasm; but as a way of letting any parents, family, friends, or even recruits know not everyone in the fan base is over reacting or crazy. However, based on some of the sarcastic venom spewed around here maybe many in the fanbase ARE over reacting or crazy.
