why don't we try Keller C ? can we do worse? I play 5 instruments . Some folks are great in practice but can't perform when eyes are on them. The great coaches know how to identify this K C already passed this test

1.) Coaches dont think he is better fit for our system (gonna take some hits). (2.) Better to develop young players (especially qb) if its a rebuilding year.

Good?

Good.

He would have to be on another level to put us in the W column. Equal or slightly better won't make any difference. Play for the future.

JG is clearly better IMO, KC is a game manager meant for teams with talent who just need a slow steady guy. We need a spark and JG provides us the best shot at that.

Well as far as the system goes, it doesn’t seem to be working so...

Working for what? Winning or developing young players? Seems like it just gave us a chance to upset the number 2 team in the country, albeit for only a few drives. We lost every sec game last year, we didnt score a single point against uga. We arent going to the playoffs this year. We need to develop young players and build an atmosphere. Today I saw heart that was not there last year. I'd call that working. I think you can only see wins and losses, and that is a real ******* stupid way of judging progression in a first year coach

What have you seen during his limited playing time that suggests he could do better than JG?
first downs, touch downs, poise. JG is awful right now.3-9 with him. look at what LSU's coach did. I don't like LSU but it worked. It's not about what KC does it's about what JG can't the only person that could fix him is PEYTON as QB coach

You know that the whole team doesn't revolve around the QB, right? Especially when you aren't a very good football team to begin with. It takes 11 players on the same page and a competent OC. When your talent is below average, it puts extra emphasis on the competent OC part.

All they let him do is hand the ball off. Just about anything could be better than JG. He is one of the worst QBs in Tennessee history.

Were you around for the Worley experiment when he was running an option offense yet rarely kept the ball?

no! we try to win for all the fans and themselves. winning fixes a lot. Stanford is and was a good running football team .so why wouldn't he fit? I think he can read the line of scrimmage better after the ball is hiked than JG

yes. but some players have the ability to elevate their teammates. I say give him a shot he is a senior you know maybe he can elevate their play maybe not . it maybe to late

What I would consider a possibility is that KC can read a defense better than JG. Maybe even audible without a 10 second staredown to the sideline t9 change a play (while the defense reacts to the sideline change). Far as I can tell, JG has a nice arm, but can't read a D. Just my thoughts
