Bray is too soft to make it in the pros. Knock him down, and he is like a deer in the headlight the rest of the game.

I do not see Bray ever being more than a clipboard holder in the pros. Physically gifted but mentally deficient

Bray will never make in the NFL.... He hasn't the talent or mind set to go pro...You can Blame Derrick and Bray,,,1 isn't a coach..and the other hasn't the talent..,I Love Vol Football,,,,I would love to see it get back to it's glory before I turn 60... and thats 7 yrs from now,,,
I say this about Bray cause,,, Look at Kellum Moore,,,, that kid had talent for Boise State,,, he went to the Detroit Lions as a 3rd string QB..So Bray will never make it in the NFL.

I love the "You can't blame Dooley for Bray" argument, because it's probably the worst one out there. I'm pretty sure somewhere in Dooley's contract they mention a requirement about coaching, well most evidence points to Bray having not been coached up hardly at all during his three years here(coaches also coach maturity too, or at least most do). So get off of Bray, yes he deserves his share of the blam for last night's loss but bashing the kid and telling him to leave is just an unintelligent, ignorant way of communicating that.

On a side note, we wouldn't even have 4 wins without Bray.

I think we could have beaten Ga St. Akron and Troy with Worley at QB

My husband, bless his heart, threw the remote down and screamed that he couldn't take any more of this sh** while the game was on. So, we watched Armageddon.

you should have flipped over to the oregon-stanford game or the k state blowout loss instead of the movie.

Look... I like Bray. He's got skills as a qb. But.... anyone with eyes can tell you that that crap last night was bush league. Just not his night whatsoever and his stats and body language says it all.
I don't blame folks who want to bash him...it's frustrating as all get out to see someone with talent and flashes of greatness act like he'd rather be at the apartment playing black ops 2. But at the same time... he knows he played like crap. Know one needs to remind him of that. he's probably his own worst critic even if he doesn't show that side of his personality in public.
Who knows... Maybe Antone "VFL" Davis needs to go "Bob Harper" on him... sit him down for a man-to-man talk. exercise the demons and get back to work.

Yeah, I say go ahead and bash him if you want. There's no rule that says you have to consider anything about a player except the last play from scrimmage or the time he smacked his girlfriend around, or that you can't consider his complete body of work and his actions off the field. What people like the original poster fail to realize is that sports are for my entertainment, and making money. They don't mean anything at all outside those two realms, so say whatever you want and leave the rules to the fanboys. In my opinion, bray is a bit too big for his britches for a qb who hasn't won a conference game, regardless if he goes on to be a star in the WWF (or nfl, same thing).

Face it...on most if not all teams the QB is looked upon as a leader since it's usually they that direct the offense.s they go the offense goes. Bray looked clueless and as if he didn't want to be there...on the field and on the sideline. At one point the sideline announcer even mentioned Bray looked confused.

Bray is overrated, he has great numbers against non SEC competition. Every time we play a top level SEC team he looks like a Freshman playing in his first game in other words lost.

I really don't want to hear the Bray bashing. You do not take out your starting quarterback unless you are planning on keeping him out for the whole game. The coach was messing with Tyler's head and confidence. Also, by action throwing Tyler under the bus. This to Dookey. You are a sorry excuse for a man. For one time in your life you should stand up and say my bad, take responsibility for you lack of competency, and shoulder the blame for the direction this team has taken. Dont expect these 20 yr old kids to bear this cross for you. You are not only a pitiful coach but also a sorry excuse for a man and someone who I am certain should have no part molding our young men. Also, who are you to kick any one off this team. With the display of morals and underhanded crap that you have pulled. I am very surprised that you are safe in Knoxville! You should be ashamed. But I know that you aren't. After all you are a lawyer. Enough said!

Bray has a big arm but in every other way he's a bad QB--no mobility, no toughness and absolutely no leadership skills that I've detected. His intangibles are bad. I empathize with him as he's been under a lot of pressure with our terrible defense, and when you lose fans turn on the coach and turn on players, too, if they are playing poorly.

Look puff, the reason for that is bray has not been coached. Look at all of our offense. Bray, hunter, Patterson, Polardy. All good but none have shown progress. The only areas that have are under Pittman with the O line and J graham with the running backs. These two coaches have done a great job. But the rest of the players haven't been coached and haven't improved much from their freshman year. That falls on coaching my friend , puff. A Good coach can take great players and win. A great coach takes good players, makes them great and wins. Dooley is neither!

Your partially right, Bray does need coaching. I would love to see what Cut could have done with him. But the question is would he listen to the coaches? The other problem is you can't coach heart, and Bray don't have it. I'm not a Dooley supporter, he is in way over his head and he must go but the same can be said for Bray.

Really OP? You can spout that BS after last night? The only bad thing about TB is he will be back next year.

Tajh Boyd threw for over 400 yards and 5 TDs, while rushing for 100 yards and 3 TDs against common opponent NC State, a school which we got all excited about beating

Bray mailed it in yesterday.. You can throw him under the bus for that.. He deserves it..

This.

His play reminded me of the KY game last year.

It was obvious Bray was in one if his " don't care" moods.

I guess he has decided he doesn't want to put any work in to go to a "crappy bowl"

Bray has zero future as a pro quarterback.
All the talent and full of bad attitude.

I don't think Bray cares.

I think he cares...to a point. I think when things get difficult, his makeup is to cease to fight and concede defeat subconsciously.

He is still very immature too. So many thought that idiotic throwing of beer bottles was just a case of "college kids being college kids" but it's much more than that. He needs to realize he is not just another college kid-- I think that immaturity and mentality carries over to the way he leads a team as its QB.

The number one recruiting job of the new coach is trying to get Bray to stay one more year.

He will get drafted and paid to play in the NFL in the future.

This team would have been completely hopeless without him. He is immature and that falls back on the guy who threw him under the bus in front of everyone and used the media to do his job for him.

Kids take on the characteristics of their parents and teams take on the characteristics of their coaches.
