me and kirby went to different schools together. he called me at half-time of the SECCG and asked me what i thought about the UT HC position. i said go for it, he's gonna think about it.

i'm kind of a big deal on the blogs.

After reading all the "insider" information about Randy Shannon and John Gruden , I now do not believe any of the BS posted on this site. Just reading it now for the comedy aspect of it.

I say Kirby Smart goes to GA when Richt retires (soon) & that when Mack Brown's gone from Texas (could be any day now), Longhorn boosters laden with trunks of cash will come get Mr. Saban.

My dog barked 7 times after I read this. We have drank enough of the Nick "Boys" ie Head Coach, Defense Coordinator. Don't think we will make that mistake again.

If Hart hires Smart he better make sure he's out of the state when he makes the annoncement. After allowing all the Gruden stuff to grow to what it did and then showing up with this joke as a HC the fans would stop at nothing to get to him and hang him. Heck even if he was out of state eventually he would have to come back to continue his job and the moment he did he would be finished, no amount of police protection would keep the mobs from getting to him.

I don't think Hart cares what the Vol fans think. It's pretty obvious to me he's going to hire who HE wants.

He never said 7-10 days. He said the month of December was a critical month like he would like to make the hire in the month of December and since this is the second day of December I would think he is still well within his timeline. This is exactly what happens. People just make stuff up just because they want something with in that time. You must have been thinking of Mike Hamilton. He is the one that said he have somebody hired in a week. That got us that piece of crap Dooley. You may want to let Hart do his job I think he can handle it.

Dave Hart said " I am looking for the qualities in a head coach that most would think are obvious, but I want a PROVEN HEAD COACH for the job.

Kirby has not been a head coach so he is automatically dis qualified according to Hart's standards for this hire..

You forgot to add that Kirby Smart already has a house in Knoxville. It seems that regardless of who interviews for the job, they already have a house in Knoxville, so you forgot to add that tidbit in your story.

It doesn't matter if he really has a house in Knoxville, because it makes for a good story.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story......
